My friend did "Host a game" from within Windrose (not doing any kind of "dedicated" server like nitrado), I try to join his server, I'm on the loading screen for a while, then I get kicked back to the main menu. He can sometimes see that I appear in-game for a split second before I disappear, but from my POV, I just see a loading screen before getting kicked back to the main menu.
I've already disabled cloud, deleted all of my appdata for R5, not just the SaveProfiles. I've tried using ProtonVPN to go through a different USA location (I'm on the East coast and so is he, different states though). We've both found the firewall rules for the games and made them private + public. Majority of the time, I'm trying to connect to him, but we've tried the opposite way. He tried to join me, but he got the same problem, loading -> I see him appear for a split second in-game -> he's back in Main Menu. I've tried reinstalling the game, I am able to start an offline world, but that's pointless since we're trying to do coop.
I've attached my logs from my sessions of trying to connect, my connect attempts should be on the 2026.04.17 files. I've replaced my name with "FakeName" for privacy purposes.
Any suggestions on what else I can try?
