Any additional screenshots and/or videos are HIGHLY appreciated!
I managed to solve the problem simply by downloading an older version of my video card driver.
Which card and which driver did you download?
My graphics card is Nvidia, so I installed version 591.(something).
Ah oké, I have AMD. So I’m afraid I have to wait for a fix from the devs
Glad it worked for you though
Yeah I’ll try, thanks mate
AMD Radeon cards are currently known to have issues with the newest AMD Adrenaline Driver (26.3.1) and its creating much UE5 Crashes. Some players reported that previous Stable Version does much better:AMD Adrenalin 26.1.1 WHQL. We are also investigating if there is something we can do to run better on AMD cards.
Thanks @deep zenith ! I’ll try that driver when I get home and hopefully there will be a fix in the future
However, I do have to admit that Windrose is the only UE5 game I have any crashes with
I am sorry to hear that! We are looking into what could be don on our side with this
Aprreciate it mate!
same problem here.
maybe because i'm running on linux?
I switched over my drivers and still crashed after maybe 10 minutes of playtime.
Had this issue every minute. 4080 super, ryzen 7 5800x, 16 gig ram. Fatal error every minute..high settings. But someone said to lower Post processing setting under graphics and I put it on low, I was able to play an hour straight, then numbed it up to medium for another 20 minutes before I got off as I got work tonight.
Wonder if high post processing is causing fatal error for some.
@deep zenith dunno if its just a coincidence or not, before it was every minute, but after putting post processing to low it just stopped for over an hour. My above comment explains a little more.
thank you for bringing this up, will try to add this to FAQ so more people could try it
Np.
Older driver didn’t work either, just received another fatal crash. I literally tried everything.
The only way for people like me to play the game, is when you as devs fix this.
Windrose is the only game where I receive this error
can you share you last log ?
How can I find that? I have send many logs earlier before already to Drake. I’m getting a bit frustrated with this stuff tbh.
I bought the supporter edition and I can’t even play the game
I tried everything, low settings, 60 fps, old drivers, disabling expo, updating bios, everything
It’s crazy we have to do all this stuff to even try play a game while the hardware is way above the minimum
I now deleted my shader cache inside windows itself, now the error already pops up on the loading screen. At this point it’s becoming a joke 😂
with more logs devs can isolate the cause, so dont hesitate to share more :p
and the game run fine, but yep, something hang really hard !
I’m glad the game runs fine for you. However, for me it has been horrible. The only game I played so far that I receive crashes on😂😅
Yep, that's why i come here sometime :p, to try to help some user ❤️
Appreciate that!
give us looooogggsss 🤣
Alright, made it back in the game. I deleted my save files and disabled cloud safe.
I also deleted my shader cache inside windows, let’s see if it is solved
If not, I’ll send looooooogggggssssss
Hahaha
Alright, error again. I’ll get logs
There is nothing else for me left to do. I’m gonna try and get a refund
Yeah I requested a refund with steam, can’t be bothered with this game anymore unfortunately.
Wish you all the best
So this was yesterday, I had the error since launch, every minute fatal error 4080 super, ryzen 7 5800x, 16 gigs.
But then someone said to lower the post processing in the graphic settings so I lowered it from high to low, and played for an hour straight, then bumped it up to medium while everything else is on high, for another 20 minutes then got off for work.
So it might be related to that setting for certain hardware combinations. Just now got on, medium post processing crashed. Ill.try low again. Hm.
Low post processing does seem to make it last a lot longer for me, switched to medium, crashed 5 seconds in. Low, so far 1 hour and counting.
Same problem here.. Second fatal crash in last 25 min ..
Seems that I also have to try older GPU driver
Just an update. Older version of gpu driver did not solve my fatal UE-R5 crash issue. Still crashed after that. So reinstalled latest again
wonder if anyone can help as i'm having the same issue.
nobara linux
nvidia rtx 5090 (latest driver 595.58.03 although crashed before updated on 590 & 592 i think the versions were)
amd 9800x3d
running using proton hotfix (although disabling this and running native has no effect).
game crashes before it fully launches so can't check the settings.
any help would be appreciated.
TIA
new ticket and logs ? 😉
Had the fatal issue as well every minute, 4080 super, ryzen 7 5800x, 16gig.
High settings.
I fixed jt by lowering post processing from high, to LOW.
A new issue popped up tho after 2 hours saying error out of video memory (bs, got a 4080 super lol)
