Died and died again but the 1st stash with the most in just isnt there im stood were it should be ??????

they should of been a death stash here but its not i lost all in the bag @sinful olive even after i restarted this morning marker is there but nothing to retrive

Death marker does not always mean that there is a post-mortem chest to pick up.
Some items does not drop from your body even when you die (like money or potions).
Death marker always shows there to mark the position you've been last time to ease the navigation after respawn.

i was completing the poi so things like spices and ingots plague wood was lost

I am in a similar position I just died outside one of the Hands camps needle in a haystack quest, went back for the post mortem chest and it is not there at all. Also went back with a shovel to dig it up not underground either. Plus all my death markers before that I did manage to collect out at sea the markers have not disappeared.>>??

Death markers disappear only when you pick-up post-mortem container if there is any.
All the rest will stay, but you can remove them if you open Map and right-click on them.

Be careful with digging, it destroys all the items that appear in the terraforming zone.
We got some more reports that there is no post-mortem containers even though player expect them to be, and will investigate.
