Suggestion:
Visiting Tortuga on a friend’s server removed key navigation and mission progression elements in my own game, leaving me without guidance to continue.

Details:
While playing on a friend’s server, we travelled to Tortuga together. After returning to my own game/session, I noticed that:

The waypoint for Tortuga had been removed from my map.
The associated mission prompt to find the smugglers was no longer present.
The NPC who previously provided rumours (used to guide progression) now has no further dialogue or hints.

Expected behaviour:

Visiting Tortuga in a multiplayer session should not remove or invalidate progression markers (waypoints or mission prompts) in my own game.
The rumour system should remain intact or update appropriately to guide the player.

Actual behaviour:

Tortuga waypoint is missing.
Smuggler mission prompt is gone.
No further rumour guidance is available, effectively forcing blind exploration.

Steps to reproduce (as best as possible):

Join a friend’s server.
Travel to Tortuga together.
Return to your own game/session.
Check map and mission log for Tortuga/smuggler-related content.

Thanks for the report. Waypoints are world-based, not player-based, so they aren't transferring between worlds.
And if you finished the quest, you no longer see its marker.
All I can suggest for now is looking for Tortuga near the center of the map (it always generates this way). And look for Undead Water Area - it always surrounds the Tortuga.

This might not be the best solution but it is intended for now (might be changed in the future).

Thanks for the quick reply I found Tortuga as I roughly remembered where it was and like you suggested, looked for the grey undead waters. The Smuggler Island is the issue but I guess I'll have to find it the old fashioned way 😄

It also has a special water area "Smugglers waters" around it

Awesome good to know. Don't mind unguided exploration though it did cause me to call my session when it happened as it seems like a long game session task.

Hopefully there's scope for Long Ben to give a vague direction prompt or something unless the design is no hand holding which I totally get. Anyway I guess this doesn't class as a bug anymore as it's intended design, thanks again for your time have a good weekend!
