#Terrible ping to server that's on my local network

I host a server locally on a miniPC. I've just connected to it for the first time and my ping is in the 130-140 range. Why does it seem like the connection is going through some sort of proxy halfway across the world? Is there some way to bypass that and get a direct connection? If not, there really needs to be. This sort of ping is noticeable just picking up driftwood. I'm having swings miss on pigs as a result of it too.

Hey! We're currently working on a fix to allow fully direct connections. After the early access launch we found out that a lot of ISPs randomly block our connectivity services, which forces the game to go for weird proxies halfway across the world instead of intended one.
