#The building grid changed after loading up my game the next day

After starting up my game, I can't build onto my base anymore. When I want a wall or a floor, it won't align with what I already have built last night.
It shows me a completely different world grid. Yes, I turned on/off snapping to see if it would fix it, but it did not.
Try to align it myself, but I can't even get it to turn in the way my floors are at all.
Even trying to build a new foundation to see if it may reset, but again, I can't even get it in the direction my old foundations are in.
Any idea how to fix this? Because so far, the only thing I can't do i destroyer evrything and start over. What I don't want, of course.

I am experienceing exact same bug, can not snap to existing pier. If I build a new foundation it will snap to that without issue. I can also snap to pre built structures.

Yeah same it's weird, special because I love building. Knowing this, makes me not want to play until its fixed. Did not have this problem before the EA.

Thats normal, R5 is your last log, backups are from previous times you've launched the game

kind harness
#

Okay, so you want me to add the R5 files to this

#

Sorry have never done this, so my apologies for this.

Would like to see a game save file so we could reproduce the issue on our end :)

crystal steppe
#

for save file do you need the entire folder? .. saveprofiles/default/rocksdb/0.10.0/worlds/(big random letters) there are lots of files here

forest geyser
#

yep, that Worlds folder
put it into archive and send here

my server has several players, im not sure if there seeing same issue.. ill get you a screenshot of which base pier is issue

#

There is a pier where my guy is extending into ocean that is bugged

forest geyser
#

i wonder how did you make it to build a bonefire that deep in the water, huh

crystal steppe
#

bonfire can be placed on wooden pier out in water

#

the snap bug was happening before i placed the bonfire there. I placed the bonfire to see if that would fix it by making it within bonfire range

i was able to load into your world, but seems like there are no buildings at all. Bunny's world, is that right?

#

One of your players has his building options switched from 30 degrees to 15 degrees.
So that pier and some other building are turned 15 degrees.

Default option is 30.

To change that back to default you have to open building mode (B), then Set rotation angle to 15, and snap it to any pier you want.

After you switch it back to 30 and you should be fine

crystal steppe
#

ah, didnt even know that was an option. ok that has worked. Thank you

#

looks like if you accidently hit L without knowing it you change your angle and if your unaware of that...
