May I ask if you have been playing on several devices lately?
I have not.
Have there been any crashes while you played?
I have not experienced any crashes no. I last played at 5:25~ PM CEST and then quit the game and came back a bit later when I finished my food and then I couldn't launch it anymore in co-op and solo mode.
Can you please do the following sir.
DIsable Steam Cloud saves for the game
Reboot your PC
Try to enter on offline world
Will do so now
It did not work
Please share your game logs, game saves, crash dumps, and DxDiag. These are essential for diagnosing and fixing bugs.
HOW TO FIND LOGS
Game logs are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\Logs
Server logs are located here:
R5\Builds\WindowsServer\R5\Saved\Logs
To get there, open Steam, find Windrose in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files. From there, archive the files in the Logs folder and share them with us.
Please name your logs in a way that describes the problem, for example: Crashedwhile_fighting_Dodo.log
HOW TO FIND SAVES
Your saves are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
Please close the game before archiving your saves!
If you are playing on a dedicated server:
• Stop both the client and the dedicated server.
• Find and archive your server logs and world save.
Dedicated server logs are located here:
R5\Saved\Logs
Dedicated server saves are located here:
R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
To get there, open Steam, find Windrose Dedicated Server in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files (or go to the folder where your Windrose Dedicated Server is stored).
Please close the dedicated server before archiving your saves.

Please also include your DxDiag report. This is your PC specifications in .txt format:
• Press Win + R.
• Type dxdiag and press Enter.
• When the tool opens, click Save All Information.
• Save the .txt file and attach it to your report.

yeah, sorry. Can you make a copy of SavedProfile folder, put it asisde and delete the folder after that
and try to launch the game afterwards
i've got a feeling that your save might have gotton corrupted 🙁
When deleting it and setting it aside and creating a new character everything works fine apart from me having access to my world of course
Is there no way of rolling it back before corruption or something?
okay... theres stil la chance to restore your save... give me a sec...
it doesnt always work.... so i cat not guarantt this, but let's try.
- Disable steam cloud saves
- Bring back your old SaveProfiles folder
- Go to: %Localappdata%\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles(some numbers)\RocksDB\0.10.0\Accounts(some numbers)\CURRENT
- Open with any text editor (notepad), it will contain text like MANIFEST-000005
- In same folder look for file called MANIFEST-XXXXXX
If file name is not the same as from CURRENT step 4 - rename it to match step 4.

im looking at your save file to see if I can do soimething
All I noticed is that 179827.sst was the last file edited in my Worlds folder and that is when my world stopped working Idk if that helps?
so... with that save you sent me you were not able to load into the game?
I copied it to my PC and I managed to load... the world looks like it didint survive, but the character is still there.
All progress \ quests and such is stored on the character... so it may not be a completely clean start
but I'm afraid I can not help you to resotre the world, very sorry about that 🙁
I think if you can try to reinstall the game and try to apply your old save, you should also be able to get your character back
Ye the character works fine it's just the loading into the world isn't working and obivously that is quite annoying as I have spent a lot of time on my base and upgrades.
I would've expected there to be past saves so I can roll back my save to try and fix it but it didn't seem like that was a possibility which I find a real shame as this means I've lost over 10 hours of my world progress
I'm very sorry that you have encountered this issue sir :(, I could recommend disabling steam cloud saves for now for the game, but there is nothing I can do ehre. I'm very sorry.
We are investigating why this is happening, but we do not understand the root cause yet.
