Hello, when I try to join my friend in multiplayer mode, both my game and my friend’s game crash instantly.

+1 I have the same problem, whether it's him hosting or me, we crash, and before the update we didn't have any issues.

i can replicate it every time now. load into server, run around and play for like 15 seconds before crashing to desktop

Every player who tries to host their game to play with friends is experiencing a crash. I was playing perfectly fine just last night before this update that caused all the crashes it's impossible to host the game so we can play.

Hi everyone, my friends and I are facing the same problem here in Brazil!

But the difference is that it's been happening since launch day, even before the update.

We host the game, the original player can play without any problems, but all other players who try to join the server get stuck on the loading screen and then return to the menu.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Or do you know of any solution?

I would love to ask you to create separate threads as even thous problems may look similar they could be triggered by different factors and it's hard to help without understanding context.

Since this is @raw pine thread, can you please provide more details:

  1. what kind of server you are trying to play on? host from game \ self hosted dedicated server \ rented server
  2. can you enter and play an offline game?
  3. can you create a Host game?
  4. can the friedn that you are tyring to play can create a Host game?

Here are the details:

  1. We are using the in-game “host a game” option (not a dedicated or rented server)
  2. Yes, I can play offline without any issues
  3. Yes, I can create a host game
  4. Yes, my friend can also create a host game

However, when either of us tries to join the other in multiplayer, both of our games crash instantly.

Do you think you can try to hook up to your hotspot from your phone and try to connect?

especially if hotspot works for youm then this thing will most likely fix the issue

Problem solved for us, we uninstalled Steam and reinstalled everything, and it's working again.
