#Friend can't join game

Friend has been trying to join me.. He loads into the world (his player model and ship) but his game will eventually say "application hang detected" during the loading screen and his game will close. We've played a few times and havent had this issue yet. Ideas?
Also, this isn't a dedicated server- im just hosting my game or whatever

Can your friend try to Host his own wolrd and tell me if it's working for him?

Actually bumping this up again (I think I forgot how discord threads work)
But it has happened again. We played previous session just fine after he was finally able to connect. But, we have gone to play again finally and once again the same problem. He starts joining, his ship appears, he loads in, but on his end he will eventually get a “application hang detected” error and his game will close.
This started happening after the April 16th hotfix, we were able to play effortlessly before that.

He is able to load into his own world, just not mine. We have tried having him load into his own world, then joining me but no luck.
I’ve disabled the protections on my router just to see if that was the issue, and it’s not. I’ve also double checked that all 3 applications for windrose are allowed in my firewall, same as him.

Really unsure of what causes this all of a sudden! And why it randomly worked on the 17th when we last played I guess.

Good day sir, veryy sorry that I have lost this thread. Did you have any improvements since or were not able to play the game propperly?

So far everything has gone just fine- No issues connnecting at all. So seems fixed!
