i cant join my friends server when i join the server the game loading screen comes up then 2min later game automatically shuts down ive done this so many time reopen then try again same thing i cant join single player worlds either it does the same thing i cant play windrose ive uninstalled and redownloaded and still the same thing occurs

Thanks for the report! When you say you can't join single player worlds - does this happen even if you're trying to play "solo-offline" or just when you are solo-hosting the server for your friends to join?
Earlier today it wouldn’t let me play solo the game just kept closing down on it self but now it wont let me join servers at all ive tried everything i can and that i know

I see, so its the online connection to your own server or any other servers that doesn't work.

Just browing the bugs and tried the telnet myself and does not connect.
im having a very similar issue to OP, and the command given by Cubert isnt even valid for me to try
windows 11 does not have telnet enabled by default.

run cmd as admin then run the dism.
running the command and it says could not open connection to the host, connect failed
verified game files, deleted and remade new solo/offline world and the game is still crashing while loading into the solo world

if telnet doesn't work, run cmd as an administrator and use this command first:
dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:TelnetClient
it will enable your telnet, then you can run telnet

If you can't connect there, you need to check the https://playwindrose.com/faq/#faq-isp
It is most likely an ISP problem - your ISP blocks our servers as malicious and doesn't let you connect. There are instructions on what to do there.
I AM the ISP (i run one) for mine and still fails.

Then all we can suggest is trying to use a VPN, or an app like https://one.one.one.one/

@jolly shuttle doing some TCPDUMP i can see the packets leaving the network, by no responce from yoour hosts.. you sure your host isnt running some DDoS tyep protection ?

ALSO if your trying to "telnet" to STUN, STUN is UDP traffic not TCP. to Telenet will not responde anyway.
If you also have issues, post them in a separate thread. If you've already made the thread, please, wait until I get to it.
Then its one of the more difficult issues with ISP. If VPN or similar services don't help, we can't really do much right now. All we can suggest is contacting your ISP and requesting to remove our servers from the blacklist. There is an instruction on how to do it in FAQ.
Other than that - we're working on alternative ways for online connections for one of the next game updates.

Not being able to start a solo/offline game doesn't sound like a connection problem. If you have issues - please, start a new bug report thread.

No, it seems to be the link. Its not our official tool - just something other players reported to work for them
generally it just means "Try using different VPN services"
tbh with you it shouldnt even be this way to play a game let alone you need some type of vpn or contact your provider just to play a game is just stupid

Unfortunately, this is what certain ISPs did for our services without contacting us. We're currently trying to contact all the known problematic ISPs to request the unblock, but it takes time.

We'll add it to the list. No idea if they even respond to us tho. You can also contact them and request to unblock our servers, since they are preventing your internet access for no apparent reason except "suspicion".

We currently have EU, RU and KR servers. Different ISPs for some reason mark different servers as malicious. We can understand why it happens for RU servers for example, but there is a lot of cases when even EU and KR ones get blocked. We're trying to find out what is the problem, but it takes time

We're working on the alternative connection way right now (which doesn't require any of our servers to work at all), but I can't promise anything specific unfortunately. This is our highest priority issue, and it for sure will be in one of the nearest patches, so I hope its a matter of days, not weeks

I'm having the same issue. Go to load up in solo/offline. once the loading screen appears it acts like its loading and then just sends me straight back to the desktop. NO errors shown. I cannot select the Online world i've been playing on with friends. I've got the SaveProfile compressed to a zip folder, ready to send. I do NOT have any log files to send tho.
we have to wait till a hotfix if they fix the issue

I may have jumped ship too soon. I verified my files and steam did report corrupt files. (seems to be a trend with steam games. every other game i've had corrupt files as well.) redownloaded them and am now able to connect to solo. still cant connect to the server i've been playing on but im thinking that it hasnt updated yet.

After getting online today and trying again I have no issues getting onto my friends server, but im still having issues with the solo/offline, when i try to get into solo, it will be on a loading screen for awhile and then just crash to desktop.
get the nitrado to reboot the server that solved my problem
whatever they did with my friends server with rebooting it worked
I'm not having any issues with servers, especially since they arent playing through nitrado. my issue is still just solo/offline
im not sure but whatever they did it helped me be able to play solo after joinin my friends server
