#Multiplayer Connection Woes

My Wife and I bought the game today. We are very much looking forward to playing together, but every time my wife tries to join my server she is on loading FOREVER (like 15-30 minutes) then it dumps her to a menu page that just has the "quit" button.

Hardware:
I have tried hosting on both my Legion Pro 7i 10th Gen (5080, Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB ram) and Legion Go S running native Steam OS. Same things happen with both.

First, since we tried starting our first characters together we followed the steps in another post to turn off cloud save and delete her save info. She then played through the tutorial and got as far as building a tent before quitting completely, starting the game again, then joining my server that had been running a good half hour (where I also had built a tent). When that also hung up and dumped her out is when I tried hosting from my Legion Go.

What would our next troubleshooting steps be? Is there a known issue I've missed that would block us? We had a similar issue when coral island launched multiplayer, and couldn't fix it on our end till a patch fixed it.

This is happening to me with my brother as well, we are on the same network and he cant join, but all my friends seem to be able to connect just fine

Oh we are on the same network too… I may have a way to test that tomorrow with another router sitting around

We have some issues with local network connectivity for now. It's on our to fix list.
Three things I've seen so far that helped other people are:

  • Disabling riot Vanguard
  • Setting up DMZ in router to establish connection
  • Just simply connecting two devices with wired connection

Hope any of this may be of help and sorry for inconvenience

I’ll try connecting with a wired connection and go from there thank you! Otherwise we might just wait for a patch.
