Wildlife spawning inside base perimeter

I do not know if this is a bug or is normal, but I have wildlife (Dodo's specifically) spawning inside my base construction. The specifics: I established my base on top of an ancient ruin/dodo nest. Was previously told that wildlife will not respawn underneath bonfire/base construction. But it still is happening, aptly negating the base "safe zone" aspect. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

I found the answer - it is intended for some points of interest (dodo and boars related), but will turn off spawns for most other PoI
