#Stuck on loading screen. Another steam cloud save problem caused by installing on second computer?

Hi,

My game is stuck on the loading screen. I know it is related to the saves, because when I turn off steam cloud and delete my local saves, the game will launch OK. When my saves are there, I get stuck on infinite loading screen.

Is there any way to recover this? I dont want to lose all my progress.

Hey! Currently steam cloud can corrupt your saves. But some people report that they were able to recover their saves by doing this:

  1. Close the game, turn off steam cloud saves in game setting on the games page in your steam library.
  2. Go to
    C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\R5\Saved Make a backup of this folder just in case, then delete it.
  3. Launch the game - it should ask you to create the new character. Do it.
  4. Close the game and enable steam cloud saves back.
  5. When Steam finds a conflict in save files, choose the Steam Cloud version.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee it helps, but it helped in some cases.

Then we don't have a better solution right now, unfortunately, except a reset and playing with steam cloud turned off

got the same problem seems like a manifest file got eaten and is gone forever i need to do a new game its a really big downer to restart after 20h of playing

Seems like i got my safe file fixxed 😄

somehow in the Account and in the profile folder the manifest got changed so i just looked into the "current" file and looked up to which manifest it points and renamed the manifest that was in the folder i got back into the main menu and currently connecting to my server 🙂

don't know if anyone ran into this, but I loaded into my buddies paid server, survival servers. I loaded into his world. Perfectly fine. Then I tried to load into mine. I'm stuck on a infinite loop. Has anyone experinece this?
