I am getting game crashes at random times, and at random moments. I have had a crash on the loading screen before I can even click play, while trying to build a building, running and mining. I have the latest version of my drivers, have tried removing the user settings file and still nothing. I have a similar issue to another user in the logs where it says "GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 seconds" I have attached the error log, save files and DXDiag info. No screenshots as the game is crashing

Do you have Frame Generation enabled ?
I tried both settings. I saw on another post it recommended manually setting it to off/auto in the game settings and that also didn't help
Also I just tried fullscreen mode and that also didn't work
Any updates? I have tried some of the more recent things include AMD enhanced and just tried to play again now and it froze on the main screen.
Seems to be GPU issue
@limber sedge can you please help with that?
Is your video card overclocked by any chance?
Or have you tried capping fps at 60/disabling framegen?
No overclocking, have set it to 60FPS, frame generation is off. Render res is 50%
Still crashing? Then let's wait for @limber sedge , he's our expert in such things
This may be an issue that some users are experiencing where an unknown shader freezes the GPU. I'm looking into it.
@fickle bramble Then it seems to be shader issue on our side, we're investigating fix
Sorry for bad experience :(
All good. The fact you are responding to people and working on issues is more than some game makers! And to be honest the 2 hours of the demo I played got me completely hooked so I am happy to wait for it to be fixed
is there a place we can empty and rebuild the shaders?
Yes, you can try launching the game with -clearPSODriverCache option once.
Alternatively, if you're running an Nvidia GPU,
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Shader Cache Size > Set to Off > Click Apply
- Reboot your PC
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Shader Cache Size > Set to Default > Click Apply
- Start the game
i wonder if this is whats causing me issue 🤔
Doesnt hurt, give it a try and report back
Just reporting, also suffering from this exact problem. It's tottally erratic. Tuesday for example I streamed 8 hours and didn't crash once, and today (nothing changed, no windows updates or software updates) I crashed maybe 16 times.
Nothing seems to be triggering it, like, there is no action I do to isolate the problem, it just randomly happens. I could just be sat at the dock completely motionless, and it'll crash.
Should point out i've experienced this same problem in the playtest and the Demo.
ye dono whats going on 2 days since 14 aprile no problems and now this constant game crash unles its thanks to last day windows netframe work update doing it
and cleen instal is not helping
Its better to make a new bug report thread, if you experience crashes, so we don't mix up anything important
