Using Survival Servers, lag is almost unplayable in combat, we have a premium server they have migrated our saves over to another with no improvement. Riding in the Boats is constant hitching sea combat is impossible with this going on. Not sure what else we can do waiting on the Dedicated Server host to try whatever they can think of. I know this issue at least didn't exist in multiplayer. We are all playing on rtx 5080s with current gen tech. So its not likely to be our setups.

Sorry, but the only thing I can suggest is to contact server provider. Must be something with their servers specs
I am experiencing the exact same thing with them.
same problem on nitrado. haven't unlocked the first ship yet but sailing around wwith the small boat is very laggy and rubberbandy
experiencing the same, server hangs and crashes after 15 mins
Seems to be specific provider issue, hardware might be not good enough
I'm selfhosting on a MiniPC with the dedicated server files, Windows Server 2026 - 16 CORES and 64GB RAM DDR5
The game works perfectly fine with 8 players online but only when they have their feets on the ground. No issue otherwise but as soon any of them are using their boats the rubberbanding is indeed present but Only for the player that is controlling it. Everyone else that is klling stuff on the ground are not experiencing lag in any shape or form.
My internet connection is 1.5 GB Download / 1GB upload and very stable.
I'm afraid to say this is a problem, it has nothing to do with the physical server specs or performance. There is no provider involved there but my own infrastructure and I know for sure it's reliable.
With all due respect, please revisit this aspect of the game. More testing has to be made. There is something going on there in the code for the boats in multiplayer.

Good day sir, Yes we are aware about this issue, teh sea part is currently way more demanding then the ground part in terms of server power. We will be working on this in the future. It could get worse in the end game when you get to frigates and could try to sbimltaniously board several other firgates, it could sapwn ALOT of npcs... in many regards this is why we are indicating in the game that we are recommending 4 players, as we know that there could be performance issues beyond this number. Very sorry to hear that your experience is not smooth enough. We will work on potimizing this part further 🙁
It's a server issue, I self host with 3 people online, 2 sailing at the same time with no lag at all
yes but if you increse the population to 6- 8 people on the server if could get nasty especially closer to end game 🙂
we are aware of this and will try our best to adress it, even though it could take quite alot of time
