I don't know if the original text is correct or if the issue comes from localization, but in french, unlocking the ship asks for "100 wood, 20 pieces of coarse fabric, 20 pieces of fabric, 10 ropes". Meanwhile, the quest lists it as "100 wood, 20 nails, 20 pieces of fabric, 10 ropes".
I got confused for a while because I couldn't found a way to craft/loot the 20 non-coarse fabric.
