No town can survive without a Blacksmith and Plunder's Cay is no exception. The Tilted Anvil is nestled in the salty heart of Plunder’s Cay. It stands as the town’s beating iron heart. The shop’s weathered sign swings crookedly above the door: a massive anvil depicted at a drunken slant. Inside, the air is thick with coal smoke, sea brine, and the rhythmic clang of hammer on hot steel. The anvil here is no ordinary blacksmith’s tool—it’s the scarred, iron soul of the shop, a massive relic that seems to defy both gravity and good sense. What truly marks this anvil is its infamous tilt: the entire block leans noticeably seaward, perhaps two or three inches off true vertical, as if the relentless tides of Plunder’s Cay undermined its ancient oak mounting block over decades. Owner Bartholomew Reeves presides over the forge like a scarred captain over his deck. A former ship’s armorer who now crafts for every cutthroat, privateer, and rum-soaked scoundrel who washes ashore. Despite the chaos, of everyday pirates his work is flawless—edges keen enough to shave with, metal tempered to hold against storm and steel alike. Prices are steep, paid in gold, gems, or captured plunder, but no one haggles twice. Cross him, and your next blade might come with a deliberate weak spot. In a town of liars and thieves, The Tilted Anvil remains one constant: when steel meets fire here, something deadly and true is born.

I love the design of this, but have to ask, is it actually functional or purely aesthetic? I was having trouble building a smithing shop similar to this and kept getting an error saying that the forge and kiln could not function inside a structure. Eventually I decided to scrap my plans and build yours, only to run into the same issue.
While I dont need a functioning forge or kiln any longer in the demo, I would like to get this figured out prior to EA / Release so in the full game I will be able to build one that actually works.
Really nice, I like the rounded pier
It can be functional! I tried to show it with my screenshots. The important thing to know is that you can only build up to two half-walls (or one full wall) high directly behind the forge and kiln, and you can't place a roof directly over them. Basically, you have to place them against an outside wall of the building, so they are technically not 'inside' a fully enclosed structure. Hope this helps you get it working for the full release!
