#Skull & bones

The thing is, it was made by a studio that has 1.5 billion net worth. The game had a loss of hundreds of millions, because of what they promised and what they delivered (And a whole bunch of other factors). It is not uncommon for games to have WAY better trailers than the actual gameplay. Yet, those games do succeed as well. I am nearly 100% positive that this game will NOT flop like S&B did.
Im not saying it'll flop either
I say that I worry that the possibilty that after all the hype and gameplay, that it will somehow become bland after a short of period of time.
That it will have problems, despite it is a EA
Im not saying it is gonna flop, or will or even could, but I worry that the game does quickly change
Out of curiosity, what is the worry based on and what are actual aspects you're worried about? Gameplay? Amount of content? Content added? Micro transactions?
Overall gameplay.
like ships, I have no worry, combat also, and building, and that, I don't have a problem with.
The worry I have is Story, Bossfights, Online, those I worry in a way, that they might affect the gameplay.
Like they ticked off every box, but they aren't out of the woods yet
Like COH3 for example
It had a very awesome alpha and demo, and even Pre-alpha with the DAK.
It showed awesome mechanics like towing, tank riding and breaching buildings. And the maps, the units, the overall feel of the game.
Then when the full release came out, the gameplay was a bit bland, a bit slow, and even was a bit boring, after all the hype, the marketing campaign
and even the focus on "the horror of war" with civilians.
The campaign was a bit silly because it turned into a conquest, using the same maps in different battles, there were bugs and things that would break or ruin the game, the also somewhat style and art felt more "downgraded?"
Idk, the whole point was that the game did fall flat a bit...
Even after a delay from november, to febuary, it did feel like it was kinda of a waste of time imo.
I love COH3 but it did feel less fun than the other 2.
so when I SEE the "New ships" "bossfights" "islands" and all that stuff.
I do see potentially a flaw that could be a bit concerning.
again, not saying it will flop
Have you posted this in feedback?
Things you'd like to see differently?
What I am noticing is that you're craving a game like Windrose and absolutely do not wish for this game to die out. That shows actual love for the game. 😄
yeah, im not disliking or hating the game, Im also thinking: "That windrose will do amazing and will actually surprise and prove me wrong for my worry" lol
I actually wouldn't mind if the game cost a lot or anything, I just worry that a lot of people won't like what other people like, y'know?
Aye, I am noticing that.
Like im excited for the overall expansive building options and ships and naval fighting, just am curious about land activities and story
That is something I noticed big time.
The building options.
I've played A LOT of survival games, but there's always something "wrong" with the building. Parts that don't quite fit together or are rotated wrong so the inside is on the outside, but no other way to fit it, etc.
only problem I have with building is the cost of it. having to pay more wood for furniture than a wall and that
or decoratiosn
yeah, I originally was just gonna do a full town, but with how much building and windows cost... only did so little
I originally did, then replaced it with a more simple detailed one
its not much but its home lol
You must've spend such a long time gathering resources.
