#third abilities for characters

some simply felt unfinished, like faye having a turret and a tripwire, but if the opponent rushes you on site theres nothing you or ur turret can do pretty much, most characters feel like this and the only way they can be viable is through winning aim duels, and why would i even wanna play a character that isnt offensive, but also cannot do its job as a defensive character?

What made you think trip wire and turret are not useful? Create your own setups when defending..and also they are absolutely necessary for watching backstabs, and the most important part-gathering info. Each heroes have different types of roles like valo, not every heroes is about taking duels.

Mainly turrets are useful to get flank info and in defending it's mainly used in mid info or info in site. Turret never meant to provide fire power to hold site.

in a 1v4 rush site situation, im js saying that a turret thats easily broken is all you have, someone like kj from valorant has mollies to delay the push but faye has none of that, instead she has to win every aim duel, in that case why'd i pick her instead of a duelist?

shes definitely not useless but in some situations where it feels like she would be the best at that niche situation, instead she cant really do anything

You cannot delay a 1v4 push that much, even with kj mollies ,jett raze omen can easily get in. You need a smoker to even delay a bit. As i said before, the most important part of a sentinel is to gather info all around the map, turret and trips does get the job done. cypher only has trips to delay the push, but he is considered the goated sentinel because of his ability to get info around the map.

A third ability would be very nice, some characters dont have enough utility, for example Lawrence. He easily gets overshadowed by other characters because they do his job better.

still, cypher being in this point with his cage + trip combo to lockdown site is my point

hypothetically speaking, some characters have a trip only, and not a cage. this makes them feel incomplete as i said again and they lack the capability to do their job because they do not have any abilities to make that easier and better for them

like tessa as an example she has a flash and dash

but it does feel awkward to use because she does not have jett smokes to cover herself with, this makes her entry job much harder and requires the team being much more cooperative

but soloq does not favor me with good teammates, therefore its significantly harder to do my job AS a duelist.

some characters feel kinda complete though, like that one girl who has a wall and molly, as well as a res ultimate

she is probably the only agent that felt like someone who could do her job well enough

Idun should get a supportive healing ability since shes supposed to be a support character
