Hello, fellow bossers! The aim of this compendium is to list all of the late game bosses for us to be able to easily check their stats.

In this version I'll keep it limited to only the late game bosses and try to add some of the common options for gear. If you think there's something else I should include, please let me know.

Disclaimer: I will not be mentioning neither Night Greaves nor Plasma Suit as options too much outside of specific setups. Those are generally good for surviving every encounter, but they're not something boss specific. You can use those pieces for all encounters if you want. In case you lack resistances, it may be helpful to consider one or both.

IMP DEVIL

#

Comments: Imp Devil inflicts curse, stun and burning statuses. Mobs in Demon's Maw can also apply curse. Knockback happens a lot in this fight as well.

Notable abilities

  • Meteor (fire, magic)

His meteor is his most dangerous ability. That should be avoided or built against. Imp will use a lot of ground AoE, such as banishment field, fireball (both of which knockback) and explosive grenade.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Scorpion King Card
  • Molten Core Heater
  • Curse Tag (curse immunity)
  • Burrow Card (stun immunity)
  • Dragon Nightfall Card (curse immunity)

As his damage is almost entirely fire based, common options for resistances include Scorpion King card and Molten Core Heater shield. Most of the damage is also magic in nature, so mdef and/or -damage magic suffixes should be helpful as well.

DEATH MAGE

#

Comments: Death Mage inflicts blind and silence. Mobs in Abyss Castle Library can also apply curse.

Notable abilities

  • Shadow Release (neutral, ranged)
  • Dark Exorcism (shadow, magic)
  • Shadowstep (neutral, melee)

Hardest hitting attacks are really the shadow release and dark exorcism, the latter being easy to move out of. To a lesser extent, shadowstep can also deal a reasonable amount of damage.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Shadowsteel Guard
  • Plant Chewer Card
  • Night Greaves
  • Gripper Robot Card
  • Arrowcatch Wall
  • Sunflora Pixie Card (silence immunity)

DM uses a mix of magical and physical attacks, both of which can hit hard. Elemental resistance on armor card is a little tricky in this one. I personally use poison element, but absolutely recommend you don't use werewolf card (shadow element) unless you have a way of avoiding Turn Undead.

GOBLIN WARCHIEF

Comments: Goblin Warchief inflicts stun, bleeding, slow and stagger. Mobs in Goblin Warcamp can also apply stun, bleeding and silence. Knockback can happen too.

Notable Abilities:

  • Tempest (wind, magic)
  • Earthquake (earth, magic)
  • Whirlwind (neutral, melee)

Goblin Warchief can be one of the trickiest bosses to fight. His tempest hits hard and knocks back, earthquake is his most damaging and overall threatening ability and melee should be careful about whirlwind as well. If you rely on block against ww, mind the stagger from his shield bash.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Goblink King card
  • Warlords Emblem Shield
  • Obsidian Bulwark
  • Night Greaves
  • Plasma Suit
  • Burrow Card (stun immunity)
  • Icicle Card (slow immunity)
  • Sunflora Pixie Card (silence immunity)
  • Fangroot Card (bleed immunity)
  • +10 Nullmark Jewel and +10 Nullmark Relic (silence, stun, bleeding immunity)

Regarding gear, Goblin King card on chest is a good pick - it should alleviate the damage from both tempest and earthquake, at the cost of making fire pillar a little more dangerous. Warlords Emblem Shield not only provides a lot of defense, but also knockback immunity. Obisidian Bulwark is another consideration for the shield slot. Generally, gear with all resistances is very useful for this fight, as he hits hard with various elements. And although warchief personally doesn't inflict silence, I still recommend the immunity.

SPIDER QUEEN

Comments: Spider Queen inflicts slow, poison, stagger and stun. Mobs in The Forge can also apply stun, burning and can knockback.

Notable abilities:

  • Point Blank (neutral, ranged)
  • Jump Shot (neutral, ranged)
  • Shadow Release (neutral, ranged)
  • Dissonance Well (neutral, magic)

Almost all of Spider Queen's damage is neutral. As point blank is one of the highest damaging abilities on any boss, I'd recommend that non tanks don't invest in gear to endure it, but avoid it instead. Even for tanks, as she can sometimes follow a point blank with another, counter stance is a valuable consideration, as long as you're not staggered with her jump shot. Aside from those, standing on her dissonance well is not advised, unless one is building resistances. Shadow release can hit hard as well. Lastly, her gunk shot, to a lesser extent, can deal reasonable damage to more frail characters.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Plant Chewer Card
  • Skystrider Legs
  • Arrowcatch Wall
  • Worm Creep Card
  • Earthworm Card (poison immunity)
  • Icicle Card (slow immunity)
  • Burrow Card (stun immunity)

Neutral resistance is very valuable here. I always use plant chewer card on shield for this fight, and invest mainly on defense, as most of her damage is physical. Again, arrowcatch wall can be very good. Worm Creep card on chest for elemental resistance is also a safe option.

COSMIC ENTITY

Comments: Cosmic Entity inflicts curse and silence. Mobs in Night Garden can also apply stun, poison and can knockback.

Notable abilities:

  • Grand Cross (holy, magic)
  • Dark Exorcism (shadow, magic)
  • Shadow Release (neutral, ranged)
  • Damnation (magic, holy)

Her hardest hitting abilities are grand cross and dark exorcism. Her other skills should not be underestimated though: shadow release, as usual, can hit hard, and so can damnation, which will also increased subsequent damage taken. Her bolts, to a lesser extent, can be damaging too.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Cyclops Giant Card
  • Holy Crest
  • Warlords Emblem Shield
  • Curse Tag (curse immunity)
  • Dragon Nightfall Card (curse immunity)
  • Sunflora Pixie Card (silence immunity)
  • Burrow Card (stun immunity)

CE's damage is more prevalent on the magic side than the physical one. Using cyclops giant card on shield is an option, as is holy crest for the shield slot itself. Personally (and as a tank), I find the knockback pretty annoying, so warlords emblem shield is still a consideration. Elemental resistance is not easy here, as she hits with both shadow and holy.

MEGA ICE GOLEM

Comments: Mega Ice Golem inflicts stun, freeze, slow and stagger. Mobs In Starfall Tundra can also apply stun, stagger and can knockback.

Notable abilities:

  • Earthquake (earth, magic)
  • Freezing Field (water, magic)

Main abilities one should be careful about are earthquake and freezing field. Otherwise, aside from moving a lot, his damage is really not that threatening, although it has a large hp pool.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Ice Mage Card
  • Cyclops Giant Card
  • Obsidian Bulwark

Ice Mage card on chest can be a good pick, as it will negate the freezes and diminish the damage from his water spells. Cyclops giant card on shield can possibly still be useful, due to MIG's damage not being locked into a single element. As for the shield itself, obsidian bulwark can again be a consideration if you have trouble with earthquake.

TURTLE CHAMPION

#

Comments: Turtle Champion inflicts burning, freeze, slow and stun. Mobs in Turtle Nexus can also freeze, stun and knockback.

Notable abilities:

  • Overload Fire (fire, magic)
  • Grand Cross (holy, magic)
  • Earthquake (earth, magic)

Overload Fire is possibly the hardest hitting boss skill in the game, it should be avoided or heavily built against. TC's other magic AoE can hurt a lot too.

Possible gear suggestions:

  • Scorpion King Card
  • Molten Core Heater
  • Santa Hat
  • Scorpion Card
  • Veilward Artifact Set
  • Burrow Card (stun immunity)
  • Icicle Card (slow immunity)

If one aims to survive Overload Fire, then a big amount of fire resistance is needed. As the stacking burn debuff is also relevant, Santa Hat is an option for those without access to status recovery.
