Essentially option to not have to click an ability, then click the mouse, but being able to click the ability and cast it without the indicator (like in league of legends lol)

+1 to this. If i'm already targeting a monster, a double click on the skill hotkey should autocast it into what i'm targeting

I like targeting for AOE spells, but 90% of the time I'd rather just have it on click to cast

If it could be set per ability, that would be ideal.

yeah, quick cast would be aweseome. If it's an aoe spell cast it at where your cursor is currently and if it's targeted check if the mouse is already on an enemy and if so cast it.
