Hey! I wanted to suggest adding Steam Deck support — Fellowship feels like a perfect fit for handheld play.
Compared to other MMOs, it’s much more session-friendly and less grind-heavy, which works great on Deck. It’s easy to jump in for short runs without long commitments.
Performance-wise, it also seems very achievable — the game feels like it could run around 45–60 FPS with some optimization, which would be ideal.
Controller support already feels really close. Most custom community layouts work well, so there isn’t much to add. You could even take one of the popular public controller layouts as a base and build on it with a few extra features.
One improvement that would help a lot:
- an option for healers to quickly switch between teammates (similar to tab-targeting enemies)
Controller mode ideas (simple additions):
- Menu → Options button
- Map → Share button or R3
- Camera → standard controller camera (no need for mouse during combat)
- Targeting → left/right to switch enemies
- Add a toggle button to switch enemy targeting ↔ ally targeting (for healers)
Combat & skills:
- X / Y / A / B → main abilities
- R1 and L1 → act as modifiers (like shift) for extra skill sets
- L1 + R1 → Ultimate ability
Extra actions:
- Mount → L3 + R3 combination
- Interact / NPC dialogue → single button press
Menus & inventory:
- Either a simple cursor popup when needed
- Or joystick-based navigation (similar to Apex-style inventory)
Why it would be great on Steam Deck:
- Perfect for short, repeatable dungeon sessions
- Growing Steam Deck player base looking for RPGs
- Game design fits handheld better than traditional MMOs
- Already very close to working with controller layouts
- Would likely achieve smooth performance without major changes
Would love to see this happen in the future 🙌
