#windows 11 sucks

Yeah, the fact that it just gets restored every update is particularly annoying. You end up having to build scripts to strip out specific stuff. Dumb arms race.
If it wasn't for the fact I am so used to windows now and everything I use is for windows I would give Linux an honest shout.
But I havent got the will power to wrestle on with Linux either and manually fix things left and right as problems come up
Just dual boot - it's super easy to have access to both. Every time you boot up you just choose to enter into windows or whatever linux distro. They'll be on totally different partitions, but I do it for my home office stuff vs. gaming. If I'm working I'm usually on my linux boot and if I'm playing games it's on windows.
Ubuntu is a really good beginner friendly distro - it's a pretty easy thing to get a taste of if it's your speed or not in the span of a single afternoon, and doesn't involve basically any commitment. Worst case you hate it and just restore the partitions together and delete the linux stuff.
Thing is I know me. Ill create it and never log in. Simply never.
Again I have tried ubuntu, mint and others in the past and honestly everytime I have tried my first thought is "I cannot wait to shut this off and get back to what I know"
Its for this reason I guess M$ and to a degree MAC OS will always win out.
