You're going to end up hard tilting your botlane while hurting your ward question and XP gains. Even if your team gets fed from you helping out, your personal agency in a game goes down (unless you're playing Yuumi, but you still lose agency there) while putting all the agency on the, (agency meaning how much control you have over a game). Support, depending on the elo, can have the some of the highest agency in the game, but you're putting it on them since you'll be behind, and your adc will be behind as well. The enemy bot lane will also be fed since your jungler cannot gank them unless you come along, which is weakened because you are weakened, and so they can farm freely, get plates, and potentially 2 man or 3 man dive your bot lane for free while getting infinite prio to either invade your jungle or take drakes.

Basically, you put carry power into other people, while you lose almost all of yours and your main damage source from ranged is ruined, alongside the game state being sped up.
glass forge
your adc will either sac everything and sit under tower and slowly lose lane. keep dying after pushing up 24/7. or afk
river igloo
permaroam support is amazing
Especially perma roam twitch support, you get to get fed & shutdown two lanes by yourself.

Most supports aren't good at level 1
They need level 2 and 3, to impact
that's why most high elo supports stay until level 3 and then roam
