From a Support perspective, Red side is the much better and safer side as it allows to ward with much less punishment. Past evaluations also show that Red side has a slightly higher winrate in high elo games.

Botlane is safer, drake is not blocked by a huge ass circle
and having access to red means top just leashes the red jungle, instead of their bot
you want to gank bot,
and having leashing as adc + support can be punishing if ur on blue side and your jungler wants red first
