#Minor Tweak Suggestion

explain why
The core reason this suggestion is not ideal lies in the way the gameās current balance and progression systems are structured post-update. When the developers rolled out the major character rework several weeks ago, they didnāt simply āswapā a few abilitiesāthey redefined multiple charactersā roles in the game, introduced expanded progression levels, and redistributed power across the roster to encourage both strategic diversity and long-term engagement. In this new structure, Carl and Beatriz serve distinctly different purposes in the player ecosystem: Carlās skill set is now deliberately tuned for early- to mid-game utility, offering accessible, easy-to-leverage mechanics that help newer or casual players gain traction, whereas Beatriz is intentionally positioned as a late-game specialist whose pogo-related abilities scale more effectively as players progress through higher difficulty tiers.
Swapping these abilities would not be a neutral tradeāit would collapse that intended progression curve and undermine the current incentive structure. Players who are just starting would face a steeper learning curve without Carlās approachable toolkit, while late-game players would lose the satisfaction of working toward Beatrizās high-skill ceiling abilities. Moreover, ability swaps retroactively invalidate a much larger pool of player investment than just your own; thousands of players have adapted their strategies, loadouts, and even in-game economy spending habits to the current balance. Making such a fundamental reversal weeks after the rework would likely create a fresh wave of dissatisfaction, essentially repeating the disruption from the last update rather than stabilizing the meta.
Finally, outfits and cosmetics are designed to remain viable across meta shifts because they are not mechanically tied to abilities; while it may feel like your Carl skins are āuselessā in high-level pogo play, they still carry value in modes, events, and casual matches where Carl remains effective. In short, while the frustration over progression surprises is understandable, a direct Carl/Beatriz swap would cause more harm than good for the overall player base and the gameās long-term balance.

yeah, ok, thatās fair enough. rescinded
I appreciate the revoke of your comment. Carl is my dearest. The only thing he now needs is a kilt. š“ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó “ó æ (Even if he isnāt Scottish). š
i was a Carl main back when i played! cleared the first season with him. would love a kilt for sure. also wouldnāt object to some upgraded outfits for Beatriz now that Iāll probably be switching to her
I mean⦠cāmon, heās dapper šš» š„
the dapperist! his tuxedo outfit is by far my favorite in the game
