it looks like he is gaining buffs from his CTO and letting RTB fall off, not realizing that he could have pressed RTB again and CTO would remain

so i see he's skipping a lot of opportunity procs

which happens when you press sinister strike while opportunity is already active

you are sometimes supposed to do this, but what im seeing looks excessive so im not sure he's following the correct rule

his APM feels really low but this is likely the result of bad finishers/opp procs

#

and also having 138 haste

#

which is not necessarily a huge deal for average dps but very low haste will cause your dps variance to be very high

#

and oops, his cache trinket was fine, i misread the logs there

#

im seeing him press sinister strike while blunderbuss is already active which is a huge error

#

if bb is active at 3 or less cp, he should immediately pistol shot, if bb is active at 4 or more cp, he should use a finisher and then pistol shot

#

he should also not be using vanish > ambush

#

only vanish > dispatch is used for blunderbuss, but this is a new rule so unlikely they knew

if you had bte up would you just vanish dispatch anyway?

yes, blunderbuss doesnt totally care about pressing bte on cd

#

its a small minmax to only bte if ruthless is active or to refresh the debuff

#

but its so small i dont look for it in logs

#

i feel like they are trigger happy with flagellation

this flag was like 18 stacks which could have been avoided if it was pressed right before that bte

#

probably should have been using stones+agi pots instead of oils+phantom

#

he should track the 4pc because at the start he sat on the final tornado trigger for like 40 seconds waiting for it to fire

#

but that just goes back to proper opportunity usage

quick question of my own but at the end of flag is it ever worth to finish early or use a pistol shot without opportunity to proc 4pc?

its a very small minmax to finish on the last global of flag if you're over 2cp

#

but its not something i would look for in a log

#

also i dont think there is a reason to press shiv on rygelon

just another global that could have been a sinister strike/opp

it's probably true that you made similar errors

like i definitely see early finishers as well

#

i wrote about this in the faq a bit, but it seems just apm/'keeping up with the pace of the spec' is the real issue for most logs

im more saying like, you and him probably made similar errors but the large difference is not the result of small rotation errors alone

but when reviewing logs it feels like all i can do is point out rotation errors

when im sure apm/uptime/mechanics is most of what is at play

but it's usually not something you think about outside of fringe cases
