there was a bit of a gap in snd uptime, unsure if it was due to the boss digging
you missed 2 anima charges
psure i let snd drop off right after i took gate for stack and bait during boss dig

it looks like you might have been refreshing Rupture a bit too much as well

its a lot of the same mistakes with using ER in dance
also BS use could be a lot better i think
if you only did 6 point Ruptures you had about 36 extra seconds of rupture
if you had any anima charged ruptures then it was even more, which would be at least 1 extra Evis

if you refresh it before the pandemic window it's also just a waste of CP, so you lose dmg on the rupture as well
basically rupture is a bucket, if you refresh before the pandemic window, you overfill the bucket and the water/CP that's extra is just wasted

is it technically a dps loss if you're, lets say in a dance/symbols window and you let it fall off, then reapply after the window outside of dance?
nah
it is a marginal loss to refresh it during dance
but you would also usually refresh rupture in advanced for symbols
rupture is like barely above Evis if it lasts the full duration
if it falls of during a dance, refresh it after
slice and dice you always want to have up

how do you track your debuffs?
I like to make mine only show if rupture has less than 9 seconds left, so if I see it I know it's fine to refresh
and if i don't see it then i don't have to worry about it
not a bad idea, might try and implement something like that
If you like to keep it up you can also add a border or glow and set that to become visible during the pandemic window or if your target doesn't have rupture on it
yeah i'll probably go with a glowing thing
both of those are super simple to add to whatever WA you have now

for the glow all you have to do is go to "Display" and at the bottom there is a button to "Add Glow". Set it to not be visible, and then in the "Conditions" tab you add a condition to check if the Remaining Duration of rupture is < 9 and set that glow to visible

quick explanation for my learning, why the symbol is considered late here before backstab?
The base concept of the spec is to use symbols on cooldown and align other cooldowns to it
the delay there is not super long, but there is a delay that didn't rly need to be there

had a way worse delay
overall, the reason this is relevant is that it can shift cooldowns
e.g. you could use one more symbols before a intermission phase on a boss
or over a boss duration could lose 1-2 symbols casts
this is why delaying symbols is something you don't want to do
ofc. it will come down to the encounter, if you have a intermission in a few seconds and you would waste most of your symbols, you likely delay it (unless the intermission/downtime is longer)
or if there is a vulnerability phase
just be very careful with delaying things as it usually is not worth it, and only some times should be done
got is. so in a nutshell, symbol needs to be cast even if the dance is not ready yet

also as venth, symbol can be paired with either a cp generator or a finisher?

it is the base idea of the spec
but the tier set f.ex. makes it so that you have a lot of dance charges
and the proc chances make it so that you want to use the charges if possible
because every dance charge used increases the combo point income (shadowstrike instead of bs)
as well as gives you a lot of chances to proc the 2 set what would also lead to more combo points
both would mean you can use more dance charges because of cdr from consuming combo points
