I think we did say to look at a single target focused fight, i will take halondrus as a example

towards gear, you directly lose out on damage by going venthyr instead of kyrian. Not having 4p will also impact your output quite a bit at this point. In general you can assume to do around the amount of damage of your sim in a heroic fight

so, if you sim 10k, you probably are somewhere around that mark, maybe slightly lower even.
It is a lot easier to go with something like this than with parses as parsing is very competitive and gear levels do get quite high

(thats specific to halondrus, other fights might vary more)

towards equipment, just to say this straight up you have 2 trinekts that both are not easy to play

#

iqd needs to be used without getting the bad effects, and you need to break chains on the chains trinket to get the maximum effeciveness

#

halondrus luckily has a big hitbox, so you can break them on the fight without leaving melee range

#

looking at uptimes, slice and dice should be close to 100%, the fight has nothing that rly forces you to have downtime on heroic

#

rupture also only has 95%, it is still a good amount tho so nothing to worry about to much (ideal would be 98%)

a short lok at the opener, this is overall fine but also is marginal worse than the standard opener

#

it might make more sense to wait for flag till after slice and dice

#

rupture should have been the first use in dance or delayed till after, i don't think it was worth the use here

after the first dance you did use vanish-strike-backstab

#

it is again not a very big mistake, but this order has a higher waste of PV stacks

#

it would be more ideal to backstab-vanish-strike

#

and after that you want to use a finisher before going into shadow dance

#

while you did play around PV for your first dance, you did ignore it for your 2nd/3rd

#

there should be a backstab between the use of dance charges

#

i am sure the backstab after evi here ias not needed

and this is also the point your log falls appart

while you did play the opener rather correct, you totally neglect the basics of venthyr and the spec

#

you use dance on cd

#

and then end up doing backstabs for symbols

but even worse, you also use flag during that time what makes it very hard for you to even reach high stacks

so, to fix this problems i will shortly go over how you play the spec, you will still need to use that to get higher output in your logs after that

Venthyr specifically has a very strong cooldown with Flagallation but it is only strong if you play around it

#

the use of it is fairly simple and should be in every guide similar to what is stated in the faq

#

This means flagallation will alwas be coupled with a finisher, what you had correct

#

but also always will fallow up with symbol/dance after that

#

the reason is easy, you only have a small time to build the flag stacks and shadow dance allows you to get more combo points

#

the rly punishing thing about flagallation is that not getting a decent amount of stacks mean you don't get a lot of cdr

#

what means you get lower amount of uses,... and ends up being fairly punishing for your output

#

towards shadow dance

the only covenant a "on cd" use is more or less accaptable but still not recommended is kyrian

#

to quickly go over kyrian, you would still consider your PV stacks and only dance with low cp

#

also if symbols comes up soon, you would wait for symbols to get the alignment

#

venthyr in contrast is a lot more planed in shadow dance use

#

you have a lot less charges so you always want to use 1 charge with symbols

#

normally you try to always double dance when you pare with flagallation

#

spare charges outside of that can be just used, but you don't have that much of them esp. if you don't have the 4p

#

so just to be clear, you shouldn't cap on charges ever, if your dance is about to cap, use it
