@glad mesa
"If I could get a thread here, might be helpful.
But a couple of things I see, without going super SUPER in depth.
A. On your opener, you want to get that bleed damage going a couple of globals earlier. So basically you’re right, it’s mut, snd, Mut, garrote , flag, rupture.
B. You have a 246 EoN mainhand and a 252 offhand, swap those. Eon Is a powerful weapon, but it’s effects will work in offhand, and you want your highest ilvl weapon in mh.
C. On the eye specifically, your bleed uptimes were a bit low.
D. You seem to waste exactly 5 CP on mut every fight, avoid that if at all possible. Remember you can use your finisher on max-1. So if you have 4 CP built? You don’t have to Mut, you can just send a finisher"
@flat rampart
I'm off to dinner, I'll check in after a while, have fun!
Thank you sir
Thank you
Yeah, you can hold shiv for flag-vend for a few seconds, but for just learning and returning, it’s better to send on CD, unless something is about to happen. Ie. Shiv is up but the eye is phasing to add phase in sub-2%. Obviously you hold shiv there.
sorry if noob question but whats sub -2% refer to ?
The LARGE overarching things to fix to those 95 parses are there. It isn’t until you hit the orange parses that I’d start even looking at the micro play of the spec. When there’s macro to be fixed, start there, then work the way up.
Like
The eye phases at 30% to add phase, boss is at 31% as shiv comes up, don’t shiv him
Any time man! For someone returning after so long, you’re killing it dude. Can’t wait to see more 🙂
speaking of the eye, shadowstep will take you to the same spot relative to his body every time no matter which way he's facing
you can use this to extend uptime and dodge the beam easily every time
!! i only JUST learned this myself maybe few weeks ago watching one of Infexious' videos on the fight
i was too afraid to use it before that lol
also i believe it's DPS positive to at least drop a rupture on the add when it spawns even if you arent fully focusing it
the energy returns plus the damage are worth it
it is
same with rupturing the orbs on nerzhul
you get free energy while its alive and if it gets burned down quick you get the perks of a full energy bar
@flat rampart don't be afraid to try to use shadowstep/cloak to cheese mechanics and maximize your uptime
we have a spreadsheet that's mostly done that you can use to know which defensives work where 🙂
that would be an awesome resource to have! Where can i find it?
speaking of defensives, its a good habit to think about where and how you want to use cloak/evasion/vanish/feint
you run with a resto shaman and you can help your team by cloaking or at least feinting in the spirit link totem if the raid is struggling to survive a big damage event
its not strictly necessary at your gear level honestly, but its nice to think about to increase your mastery
like feinting every shatter on nerzhul might not matter when the raid is 250 with full dom sockets, but it might matter on a similar prog fight next tier at lower gear levels
i never considered the synergy with feinting during a spirit link. thank you, great tip i'll def be utilizing
i try to save CoS for 3rd shatter in nerzul but thoughts on using it sooner for chance at using it twice in one encounter?
depends on how long it takes your guild to get to the third shatter
but yeah you should be able to cloak early and the 3rd shatter
that's most of the fun of raiding tbh, finding little weird optimizations/ways to use defensives
Skrrt
I just save cloak in case I get hit by the silence zone.
thats how i do it as well usually
though i run orbs for nerzhul so i like to have it in case i get caught running one during shatter
if youre hit by silence zone CoS removes the silence?
also at this point i shouldnt worry about how many CP i have when using shiv right? just auto use when off CD regardless of current CPs also since it is optimal to line it up with CP, if im at 4 CP is the priority to just envenom or shiv if available for 5 CPs?
i've currently been using shiv at 3-4 CPs
