Bug list:

Updated <t:1778086814:R>

  1. talent_preparation Preparation gcd is not reduced by adr Adrenaline Rush.

  2. bf Blade Flurry will not cleave damage that is the killing blow on a target.

  3. rtb RTB buff can disappear from the default CDM: see #outlaw message

  4. If bte BtE procs the first talents_gravedigger_apex Gravedigger effect, it will consume supercharger Supercharger but not actually benefit from the +3 CPs.

User Interface tips

#

You should at least be using the base cooldown manager to track these example buffs (at the top) and cooldowns (at the bottom). Note one of the rtb RTB buffs displayed here is actually loaded_dice Loaded Dice.
Of course, you should skin/organize it to however you like.

What are some common mistakes that Outlaw can make?

  • The finisher rule is easy to mess up. We have a different rule based on what finishers are available: bte BtE is used at 6+ CPs, and dispatch Dispatch (as fatebound Fatebound) is used at 5+ CPs.
  • Watch the builder priority: at 6 stacks of ps Opportunity, Pistol Shots are always higher priority than ss Sinister Strike. At 3 stacks of Opportunity, you cast Pistol Shots only if you are between 1-3 CPs.
  • Watch rtb Roll the Bones usage: it should never expire, and you should always roll away Stage 1 rtb_oneofakind RTB when available.
  • talent_bladerush Blade Rush always has a higher priority than finishers, even when bte BtE is resetting make sure you are not accidentally skipping BR casts. Every finisher casted while a cooldown is ready is lost cooldown reduction on it.
  • Outlaw's GCD is 0.8 seconds during adr Adrenaline Rush, once you have 25% haste. It is perhaps easier than you think to miss globals and not keep up with the pace of the spec.
  • Remember bf Blade Flurry is 8 yards around you (the player), not the target, so positioning has an impact in AoE.

On theorycrafting:

  • Our rotation is iterated upon by using using raidbots SimC/Raidbots to test ideas just like how it is used to compare gear.
  • This is done by editing the APL or action priority list, which is what tells the sim how to play Outlaw, written by users from this server.
  • #1065730004920586350 is our channel for talking about the APL or anything rotation related to be tested and discussed. The pins contain info on how to test out changes.
  • Usually a rotation change will not be printed into guides unless it influences our simulated dps. However, there are rotation ideas that are too rare or difficult to model in which more freedom for feelcrafting is considered/discussed.
  • Over the years at Ravenholdt we hope to have a TC community that has both experienced SimC users but also high-level players to suggest and test ideas and how they impact competitive gameplay. Both the theoretical and practical side is needed for effective TC.
  • You don't need a programming background to participate in TC, all rotation changes start as a suggestion from anyone.
