So first off, you gotta shiv twice during deathmark windows, that stays as normal
The dry shiv happens after this sequence, because you have used 2 shivs during DM, and you get lingering darkness for 30 seconds after DM ends, one shiv charge comes back from cooldown during that, where u can send it with a darkest night
oh shit. so it should just naturally flow into the dry shiv? I think I'm screwing up the initial 2 shivs which just sets everything back so far
Yep exactly
that makes a lot more sense than me sometimes being able to get it, and other times wracking my brain as I see kingsbane has like 15 secs left on CD, shiv is up/dark night/lingering is up, and I don't know what to press when
Like in the opener you would:
Deathmark -> shiv -> kb
2nd shiv when the first one runs out
Both are now on CD
First charge comes up from CD during lingering
had no idea it was telegraphed like that. That is going to help me improve a lot. I can sit on a dummy and muscle memory it if that's the case
Yeah, and this is of course a bit weird that the kingsbane is sent so late
yup, I think I pressed DM thinking I had kingsbane, but it was like 12 sec before coming off CD.
and I think it's because I messed everything up fishing for the darkest night/shiv proc before
and it sent the timings absolutely out of control
Yeah makes sense, gotta run a dungeon real quick will check more after in case noone else has chimed in ๐
this is perfect so far, though. i really appreciate it.
It gives me something tangible I can work towards. I really had no clue the lingering darkness/shiv/DN thing was not RNG/weird timing
very much appreciate you
Outide of the rotation, you seem to be wasting a bit of combo points
Stick to the finishing rule of 5+ and only ever force 7 incase you have darkest night
Overcapping/wasting combo points will also lead to feeling more energy drained cause you are essentially wasting energy
Before this 5:50 KB you did do the deathmark sequence -> lingering shiv correctly, that means that this shiv you use during KB should come halfway through the KB instead of before
since we want to cover the later ends of KB where its stacked up and doing most of its damage with Shiv, and if we only have 1 charge of shiv we cant cover the whole duration
roger that, makes total sense
also its not a lot of casts, but dont swap over to the bikers
just stay on boss and hope ur tank drags it to spatter range of bikers, otherwise its not ur problem ๐
that particular part my raid was not doing the mechanic. as raid lead, I need to set an example lol
ah I guess in that case ๐
in general tho, we are the worst target swapping class in the game
I have noticed that as well. I haven't played rogue very long, but it feels a lot worse if I'm forced to swap onto something else. CS seems to help a lot with that, though, if they're able to be in range
very good, helpful tips though. I'm going to have to sit on a training dummy and get the sequence down to muscle-memory. I think the wasted combo points will get better too as I get used to the fight and calling the fights
