the base rule is that Vanish > BtE is always used while adrenaline rush is active, to stop adrenaline rush from ticking down

but also, as long as you are not in danger of losing adrenaline rush, there are more optimizations for vanish usage

for Fatebound, you can attempt to hold Vanish for when BtE is on cooldown & Ruthless Precision is active, or Supercharger becomes active

but this is secondary to using vanish to stop AR from expiring
