Sorry in advance for the essay:

I found another log, same boss same difficulty and his fight was only 5 seconds longer (3:33 vs 3:38). We are both 606 ilvl https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/pjAfNwbV347YJnvK#fight=2&type=damage-done&source=22
What I'm finding is really confusing though:
We both have 53 dispatches but he did 36m vs my 22m damage from dispatch
He had 53 BTE and I had 54 but I only did 19.5m vs his 35m.
Similar with hand of fate coin, he did 8m dmg more with only 3 extra flips

As for buffs, both of us had 6 adrenaline rushes and 10 vanishes and I rolled the bones 2 extra times and had 20% more RTB uptime
I only had 20% ruthless precision uptime though and he had 60%. Can that really make a 200k dps difference?

so much so that we are looking into finding situations where you can conserve vanish usage until you roll/proc it

they also had battle shout and you don't

our rng is not too bad over time. though it can really show itself in some instances e.g. having RP for the opening 3 stealth windows

i also use a weakaura that seems quite popular that tells me when to roll. I don't think it's incorrectly telling me to reroll it but maybe I should hit a dummy for a while to double check

i would be careful to put the blame on RNG cause it is actually True Bearing that has the most impact over time

you are supposed to keep any 2 buff combo. and you reroll when you have 1 buff and loaded dice active, to turn it into 2 buffs.

you also have to be careful to not roll over extra CTO buffs if they are active

#

if CTO buffs are lower duration than your normal RTB buffs then you will lose them when you roll

also im a bit confused as when to build at 5 cp. Is it only if no ambush/pistol shot proc?

you use finishers at 6cp normally but at 5cp if subterfuge, audacity, or opportunity are active

with a cursory glance at damage events

ignoring crits and trying to filter out trinket agility buffs, your difference in raw damage is 15-18%? which kind of checks out for having 5% less vers, no battle shout or mystic touch, and agi diff

is tracking agility procs worth it? i imagine not since we're sending almost everything on cd
