Hey all, could someone review this if you have some time please?
Im Marissia here. My opener was bad on the last pull, but after that i think i recovered pretty well. My AR uptime has gotten better, and i may be using too many other globals during crackshot windows. Besides that, i dont have mydas, and im running HO (other rogue was running KIR). Is KIR and mydas really that big of a dps difference? Do i just need to make less mistakes and play better?
I think there's one or two stealth windows where I used BTW on accident and i used dance to keep ar up
you can play HO, especially in raid. they are both good builds
mydas is a decent upgrade over sandglass
some things I see:
- there are times roll the bones is completely falling off, this is a mistake as it means the tier set won't activate on the next roll
- it is okay to reroll during stealth in the opener, as you are turning 1-2 buffs into 3, and getting 3 buffs must happen asap
there are times dispatch is doing more damage than between the eyes, when it should be the opposite: BtE should be like 4% ahead of dispatch if playing perfectly.
outlaw has a lot of moving parts to enable BtE damage to be so high:
- i see you using vanish or dance at low cp into ambush, when you should always them at high cp into between the eyes
- you should make sure BtE is never on cooldown when vanish/dance are going to be ready
- you should hardly ever delay vanish/dance as they are needed for both BtE damage and to stop ADR from ticking down
- proper roll the bones usage allows you to have high uptime on
which all influence BtE damage - I see a decent amount of finishers used at 5cp or even 4cp. Only during stealth is it okay to finish at 5cp, and it should be at 6cp otherwise
- that means, outside of stealth it is very normal to use ambush or pistol shot procs at 5cp
- there is the occasional sinister strike cast while the pistol shot proc is active. for the HO build, pistol shot procs always have higher priority than sinister strike as they are used to proc ambush when ambush is not available
Don't use shadow dance between globals as it starts ticking down immediately
^ see the large delay between pressing dance and using the next global (which should have been BtE not ambush)
You have a ~0.4s window to fit 8 globals inside shadow dance or subterfuge so this delay already costed you a crackshot cast or more
Got it, I really appreciate the feedback. It sounds like using 1 ambush/pistol shot right before shadow dance/vanish to get full combo points to go into stealth is higher dps than going into stealth asap to save AR. I'll correct that
And yes I seem to make that shadow dance mistake a lot. I'll work on that too

if AR is about to expire in like 1 global then it is okay to vanish/dance at low cp, though it should be fairly rare that they align perfectly like that
