Hey, I am clearly doing something wrong. Here is a log from heroic first boss. I think that I am perhaps making a mistake by using Shuriken Storm during Shadow Dance for an additional First Dance proc, and I think that I should maybe be holding shadowmeld / shadowstrike for after my shadow dance window. I think maybe I should also be holding becacon until I hit shadow dance so the damage lands during shadow dance buff, but that's now what the sub faq suggests. I don't mind green parsing considering the overall state of my gear, but my ilvl parse is suspiciously low, which means there is something majorly wrong. Also, here is a link to my heroic logs. Since this is an alt of mine, I often will take the voluntary mechanics like bombs on Sark etc. But still, i'm bad, and I can't identify why. Few things I noticed:

You don't need to use ss in dance at all for another DM stack, especially towards the end of dance. You have limited gcds in the window so getting another evis off there is better overall. You can use it at the beginning if you don't have find weakness up but other than that its not needed.
Your rotation overall looks good from what I can see honestly. Using sectech as 2nd finisher in dance is perfect.
For beacon usage, its dependant on if you have two on uses or not. If you only have one, then use it on pull. Especailly on shorter fights like this, its good to use it early so you can guarantee a 2nd use.
Any reason you aren't using the annulet? You said its an alt so you might have not farmed it. Its going away in a week anyways but its the best ST ring for us until the patch.
I see a couple times in dance you use SoD before sectech. You are clipping a few seconds of up time there that is being wasted

plus a fight like kazzara can be variable dps wise due to the mechanics taking you away from the boss for a good 15s at times if you have a laser

but overall I think you have the hang of the spec from what I can see, just need some more time on it

you are getting energy back on dance from the tierset so no need to macro tea to dance

Tea is macrod to dance, i think you're right, I need to seperate them. When should I be tea'ing? Not for mastery I guess but for energy whenever starved?

I tea when in dance, not too high on energy, and when my next button press is a finisher

so like in the opener i tea right before the 1st evis of the 1st dance

and i try to always have a tea charge for my ColdBlooded SecTec but idk if thats technically correct

In opener do I use with dance? like Dance > gloom > tea >evisc >shadowstrike > ST > etc

but otherwise your gear just isnt that great, your missing a wep enchant, the rings, it was a 3:38 kill, and you had no Beacon crits

lots of non-rotational reasons for that parse number to be low that i wouldn't worry about

Thanks I appreciate it. I am looking to swap off warlock in 10.1.5 to any class that doesnt lean on PI. I'm sick of externals making or breaking my game play. Rogue, arc mage, and havoc DH are all contenders. But rogue seems like most fun.

Destro and aff don’t need it to perform. I play aff as an alt and it’s super fun. Pumps pretty hard too

Yeah I am playing aff rn for most fights

Aff is also competitive with dragons for PI on single targ
