Seems like you aren't using shadow dance optimally. After dance, your casts should be gloomblade>eviscerate>shadowstrike>secret technique, then only cast shadowstrike or eviscerate depending on your combo points until dance falls off. This way, you are fully optimizing premeditation combo point while adding another stack of danse macabre with gloomblade. Also, don't use flagellation during dance window either.

Oh shit thanks for the info. I didn't realize that. I'm gonna try and implement that into my next raid night and m+ dungeons.

I was in a m+ with another rogue and his secret tech was doubling mine. I'm guessing it's because of what you said and how I wasn't optimally using it.
