i suck at dps. idk what im doing wrong. (well yes i know something. like when i evis at 4 cp. or gloomblade when i should shuriken at 2 targets.) but in general im always at the bottom of the meter. in raids and in dungeons when im supposed to have more damage. this is the log of our raid first kurog mythic kill. and im at the bottom. besides having to soak first pool. and a couple more mechanics i shouldn't had that low damage for my ilv. please help. any tips would be appreciate. im at a few more bad parses of reroll. - drop tea from the macro you have with dance
- drop symbols from the macro you have with dance. do not hold symbols for dance or vice versa
- vanish strike optimisation is only done once per dance. not twice.
dont knwo the mythic kurog fight. are you getting full CP here?
why the GB?
- strike, evis, strike, gb, sectech
- late tea
lotsa empty gcds here. weird uptime
so this looks liek the ideal dance sequence mostly. im just wondering if CP rules are being followed for finishers
- missing a gb optimisation
- get tea out of that macro
- are you trying to prio kurog? the lack of BP will result in grey parsing, even if its the right thing to do I think
- triple storm at the end? overcap CP here
followed up with only a single storm after. cp rules definitely not followed here.
what happened here?
gb rather than 3rd strike in dance
specifically I'm referring to the GB optimisation for a DM stack
very late sectech, your 2nd and 3rd sectech hits won't be DM buffed
so you do know about the GB optimisation in dance, why didn't you use it earlier?
what is this sequence? where is sectech? and what are the strikes for?
are you pooling or? whats going on with all the empty GCDs
again where is sectech?
- why tea into grieftorch? grief, evis, if you still need energy, tea
- random blind at the end why?
major issues:
- cp finisher rules not being followed, this seems quite prevalent all over and is a huge damage loss
- dance w/o sectech. I cannot emphasise how much sectech contributes to your damage. 3 dances w/o sectech is significant
- the macro with dance, tea, symbols. Get rid of it syncing tea to dance is a damage loss, holding symbols for dance or vice versa is also a loss.
- gb dance optimisation. you've shown you know of it, now consistently do it
minor issues:
- get greedy for damage and figure out how to live. feint, step, cloak, vanish strike are all movement skills, use it and find uptime on the boss. learn the encounter well to do so
- defensive uptime is kinda lowm feint is there for a reason use it.

i have macro tea with all cds just for the opener and supposedly when combat pot is back. i thought we should tea in the opener even if we have full energy just to not cap charges. i vanish strike twice in the opener to get benefit of shadow blades.
yes. boss and add that should die with cleave. so focus damage on add.

when my second strike (after evis) get me to 5 cp i sectech. if not i gb. should i aim to always gb ? even when im at full cp ?
change of phase. waiting for adds to spawn. charged cp before change of phase
here is a phase with more adds. so i switch my shadow dance that is reflected here
idk why i tea there. but yeah im gonna delete the macro.
yeah phase with only boss and one add that should die with cleave. that triple storm is weird. sometimes lag attacks and i press my finisher and then my cp generator just to realize that i didnt use the finisher at all.
i think this is when we dance twice (dance mechanic. no dance ability) is really hard. so i cant stay at boss. cant use cloak either because i need it for a mechanic later. feint wont be sufficient.

i think this was i was attacking an add and he move so i couldnt sectech. and trying to follow i lose time.

i think i ate a frozen orb that stunned me for like 6 seconds
yeah this was the moment of the kill. most raid was dead. boss was very low. people dying so i think what happened i press tea for energy and someone died so my torch was available. that blind yeah... i didnt even knew i pressed it.

may i ask again. should i always try to get a gb before sectech even if my shadowstrike got me to 5-6-7 cp ? -

sometimes i try to sectech and the mob just move a little or died or something and i cant use it. what can i do to fix that. -

That's only for the first opener of combat if at 3 charges.
Do not vanish strike twice. Using vanish twice not only loses utility, you also lose the DM buff. The whole point of vanish strike during dance is an optimisation to benefit from DM stacks.
You also overcap on CP that way when you could have a DM buffed evis

This depends. If your 2nd strikes gives you full cp, then send sectech.
If it's only 4cp, GB.
Doesn't make sense to me, why would you wait to deal damage? You should be full sending unless I'm missing out something.
Remember, cp use is CDR for sectech and dance, which means you get it faster

I find this weird because sectech and dance almost always line up. There is no reason they don't align.
If you're saying that you can't stick on boss during this phase, then hold dance.
You had sprint up at this point, use it? Or shadowstep? Rogues are pretty mobile, utilise that.
If the target was still moving when you casted the late sectech, then you're just doing even less damage at that point
Yeah, lack of uptime will hurt your logs for sure.
GB before sectech only if you're at 4 or 5cp. Cp finisher rules apply.
Mob moving with sectech and you can't hit means you're way outta range. Know your active range. Mob died and can't use, position better and be more aware. If you know its low, you should be ready to pop sectech at someone else.
