well your opener is 3 ambushes and a bit later you press sinister strike 3 times when vanish and dance are ready
cba reading more you should check out #outlaw-faq and reevaluate the way you play
yeah this happens cause its like my CP visiual is lagging but is it all because of some delayed Shadowdance / vanish? not 100% playing the rota correctly / wasting some combopoints? Cant imagin everyone is playing the rota completle correct in progress fights!?
not everyone
but that doesn't like
well there's no situation where you would ambush 3 times in a row
you shouldnt even need to look at your combo points after the second one
so basically @valid talon the #outlaw-faq has all the rules you should look at with a once-over but
Vanish is used with 0 audacity proc and 3 or less opportunity stacks
ALWAYS use vanish and dance before you sinister strike
and dance is used at 0 of all procs
in terms of the cp visual bugging
are you using the default?
thats some otherthing, saw a video from a really good mythic raider that said with Cte you use SD on CD to get most proccs
idk who that is, but thats not correct
but are you using the default combo points tracker
like resource display
or do you have a weakaura
and i have to look at combopoints in the beginning cause sometimes its Ambush-BtE-Ambush Snd and sometimes it needs 2 ambushes-Bte...
because afaik there's a known problem/bug with the default display where combo points are super bugged
Nugcombobar
?
addon for combopoints
i have afenars WA too but i find the combopoint visual too tiny
ahh i see
id try to go off afenars wa
as far as im aware
its pretty much instant
it seems a little crazy that some wasted combo points put you in grey-log range
its not just some wasted combo points bro
well youre pressing sinister strike which is bad
but idk if kurog parses are good samples
you dispatched at 1cp
cause it's the gigapad fight with blade flurry on the immortal add
yeah dispatches at 1cp happens with that lag shit 😦
i probably need to get comfortable with combopoint tracker in afenars WA and delete Nugcombobar
yeah sounds not good
cause like that dispatch
you also missed an ambush
from subterfuge
how would you see that
i see 20 ss casts with opportunity available
i dont see any during subterfuge
good god, but not in a row i hope
wtf
i mean we still have to play mechaniks, makes me wonder if im too fuckin old for this game if you all play rota completly correct in Mythic fights
thanks a lot for looking at my log
i thought that are some "little" misstakes and i miss something big
but as it seems this are big misstakes
he casted the 1cp dispatch
during subterfuge
Hey everyone, I'm a multi-rank 1 rogue main in mythic+ content and raid - In this video I'll be teaching and demonstrating how to play outlaw rogue in single target and in aoe using the new Count the Odds build that many outlaw rogues have adapted to playing since the Fan the Hammer nerf introduced in 10.0.5.
World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patc...
maybe his video is a little missleading here cause in his ST rota he says he uses SD after Vanish ends even though he has a rapid fire proc to get more Ambushes out. I probably interpreted this wrong
it's not a little misleading
it's straight up disinformation
while slamming dance on cd isnt a huge loss it's not a gain so no reason to do it
this dude even has hero rotation showing in the video and it's not telling him to press dance
Ok, thank you very much for trying to help me
so its probably bad CD usage and wrong rota
actually herorotation is wrong there - when playing cto(especially 2x cto), unless youre sitting on 4/5 buffs, you get more value out of pressing SD there to get more buffs rather than spending your FtH procs - you need to remember, most packs are lasting about a minute in length(which is the SD CD, as well as vanish CD when playing optimally), you have no reason to not use your dance and vanish the maximum amount of times to increase your overall buff count and duration which leads to higher dps overall than spending your FtH procs would give you. You also get the haste benefit from entering dance or vanish, which you dont get from FtH. Dont follow sims blindly - try it out for yourself and you'll see the difference in your overall throughput over the course of a key. @valid talon
again, this is how i play and i have multiple 99/100 parses in raid as well beating out the players that are playing "optimally" by using their FtH procs and only pressing vanish/SD when you need to reset procs - this WAS the most optimal way to play when playing GSW, but things have changed. we adapt, we overcome, and we continue to top meters, but you just gotta adapt to the times.
the difference is real if you try it yourself
this is not evidence
it's a small loss to send dance
if it was a gain it would have been simmed as a gain weeks ago
you can be the best player in the world and still miss out on 0.2% dps
sims cannot account for the context of everything you're doing. You as a player need to know when it's right and wrong.
yes they can account for context
okay man, youre right, im wrong, youre the better player - not going to argue - good talk
haha there he is wtf
but maybe you can tell me then what i do so completly wrong?
probably you only talk bout short time ST, i thought your ST guide could be taken for Mythic Boss fights, not just 1 min fights. maybe thats my problem
it is a mythic + guide, tailored towards m+ specifically - in a prolonged fight, i would still send vanish and sd during my AR window initially, but when out of your AR, you need to still play more conservatively around farming your procs and rotating between them - that being said, sitting on your vanish and sd is just very plainly a dps loss overall - as you adapt to this playstyle you'll see more when you can/should press those buttons out of your AR window to maximize your overall gains from CTO as well as gaining the haste from take em by surprise. Rotating your procs can last a very very long time, it's wild to me that someone is arguing that using CDs is a dps loss. I should have been more clear in the video that im talking about specific instances during CD windows primarily; however, sitting on your cds for 10 rotations of building and spending with procs is not optimal when you have better options at your disposal
yeah the big point i missed till i rewatched your video was as you said "in your AD", i thought already bout that
I do go over it in better detail in my top 10 outlaw rogue mistakes video, but i cannot link it here due to it being considered self promotion which isn't allowed in this disc
