looking at that guys dances he's using it as the 2nd finisher which i'm gonna start doing

i hit a dummy for like an hour after raid to get out of my head on that

i think i'm going to aim for:

dance > gb > evisc > ss > (opt gb if necessary) > sectech > builder/evisc spam

The faq has this:

Shadow Dance sequence with Danse Macabre:
- The First Dance: Shadow Dance - Gloomblade - Eviscerate - Shadowstrike - Cold Blood - Secret Technique - Shadowstrike
- Without The First Dance: Shadow Dance - Shadowstrike - Eviscerate - Shadowstrike - (Gloomblade) - Secret Technique - Shadowstrike

Yeah, that's fine

Do note that you only do GB -> Evis on the pure ST build, so most of the time you will actually use the second one

And you should only gloomblade once per dance, if you 're at 4 cp after a SS and you already sent the gloomblade just SS again

#

(and only gloomblade if you need the CPs, otherwise send sectec without it)

gotcha, gb doesn't get buffed til dance ends so that makes sense

GB during dance is only for the danse macabre stack

So yeah, if you look at the other rogue log, he did 6 sectecs on a 2:23 fight, you did 7 total on 3:53. Avoid delaying dance to line up.

i also noticed that on council the top parses are petty much only using ss > bp > ss > sec tec > (back to storm/powder spam)

was trying to practice that muscle memory in keys last night but i kept getting conservative tanks who were only pulling 3 mobs at a time so it wasn't good aoe practice heh

You're also overcapping on a lot of CPs it seems

As a result you only cast eviscerate 37 times in 3:53 vs 34 in 2:23

so that was interesting, i compared to his in the same time window and the overcap was pretty similar but he still had a lot more casts

In part due to the first dance and getting 6 dances instead of 5

yeah i think my misplaying is leading into worse misplays: not enough finishers means slower resets on dance, not enough dances means less finishers

might try to pug some heroic this week just to see if i can get THOSE numbers up

but i would personally go with a pure st build

slice and dice did also drop twice, premed does not keep it up for you always, so you sometimes need to refresh it

this is because with shb you are likely to end up on 6+ cp

so tl;dr:

  • play dance better
  • use tea tea
  • use st talents
  • make better use of secret
