Hi, I'm picking up sub on DF after a long time playing outlaw. I noticed that my Rupture is really low, probably because of my positioning. Also I really struggle on my opener which is a big loss. Still tho, it's difficult for me to get over ~55k dps. What can I do to improve myself in keys ?
oh wow thats a ambiciouse opener ^^
it might makes sense to start with rupture to get the most out of it
not sure if evi is evi probably not neeed
tea likely better to be used before secret
one thing you can do, and probably should is to rupture targets that survive longer
halls has quite some groups with targets that don't die immidiatly
you also don't want to rupture during dance
when in not super high target aoe
you still want to use strike
so dance-strike-bp-storm-secret
secret earlier to get higher dm satcks
you should probably always use vanish for vanish-strike
i assume this is a single target part
basically
you likely want strike-gb(or storm)-rupture and dance after that
tea during dance or on low energy
never rupture during dance
the tea use is def. the one thing that needs work
tea in aoe is fairly easy, to use it with dance
but on the single target parts you won't unless you have it on high stacks
snd before dance here
you also overcapped massively on cp
strike with premed gives you high cp values
you lost a lot of dance time here
so basically
from the look i had:
- try to play tea more efficiently
- rupture multiple targets if they survive long enough, but also not during dance
- keep using shadow strike in multi target up to like 7 targets for premeditaiton and dm stacks
- try to use secret earlier in dance to get a larger amount of DM empowered finishers
- Use Vanish for dps if needed (during shadow dance after secret)
some general tips for the dungeon:
- you can use evasion to your advantage in multiple points of the dungeon (e.g. on the dog boss if it focuses you, just evasion tank or on the pack that randomly targets players with physical attacks... using it pre-emptively can be vital to not get oneshot)
- you can use vanish or shadowstep to your avantage to not get the bleed on the dog boss
- you can use cloak/feint on multiple occasions for dps or to help your healer
First of all, thanks a lot for taking a look at my logs !
Tea is definitively something i'm not familiar with yet and your advice will help me not picking up bad habits :p
I thought the goal of Dance was to build as many stacks as possible and finish with Secret Technique to get the most of it but it makes sense to using it earlier (as well as Shadowstrike for stacks).
Rupture is also something I struggle with because in larger packs I feel like Dance is coming off CD so often that I "don't have the time" spreading it.
DM is kind of a double edged sword
it makes you think that you always want to play around it
but it is more a balance act
basically
"what ability is worth the loss of efficiency to generate a stack of DM"
and it is not always worth it to trade it off
You're totally right, and you spotted a big mistake right here
i would not lable one mistake as big
Premed would have refreshed the SnD anyways
thats true too
potentially would have allowed you to wait for a refresh till after dance
and I don't remember the vanish here and what I wanted to do.
Again, thanks a lot for your time !
