@hidden basin you want to use SS early in the swing if you are specced into Sword Specialization. The reason is because you are specced into Sword Specialization, SS can proc an extra swing that resets your swing timer, so lets say you are 80% into the swing and you use SS and Sword Specialization proccs you lose the 80% progression of your swing because the timer resets to 0. I hope that makes sense.

What do you guys think about Orc male rogue? Because of Blood Fury, I see a male Orc is the most optimal for PVE. However, Orcs are too bulky and doesn't look as versatile from an esthetical standpoint. Female Orcs look better but wanted to play a male. Undead on the other hand looks way more aesthetically pleasing. Now my question is how much more dps can an Orc do than an Undead in a raiding environment? How much more is an Orc more optimal than an Undead in a raiding environment when it comes to DPS?

Orc is good arguably the best race for both pvp and pve for horde. Undead doesn't really bring any dps gain for raids, except for breaking fears which can come in handy aswell in pve but I see it more as utility. Undeads are great for pvp tho.

The ranking for Horde in PVE for best racials is Orc >= Troll > Undead

But yea orc males don't look to good as rogue as you said, that's why I will roll female orc

But in the end it's just min maxing, play what you want it's not that impactful

GUYS! im gonna give classic a shot! and im rolling an alliance rogue but i cant pick a race, i play human rogue in retail just because i like the way it looks plus EMfH, altho i dont feel like races make a huge difference in retail, but i got told it does in Vanilla. As for Orc or Undead, I'd look at what is good for both pve and pvp, that would def be orc. Stun resist on orc is super good. WoTF is also really good for pvp, but UD doesn't really bring much to pve. End of the day though, play what you can stand to look at while playing.

Skinning/herbalism for gold while leveling since that vendors for quite a bit and herbs are plentiful in horde early zones, then at 60 swapping to engi/mining for DM jump runs and general engineer OP

Leather vendors well, so a lot of people will take it whole leveling to afford skills/mounts

Unless you take a month to hit 60 DM will be a ways off.

I think there will be the most active players right in the first few months and then it will taper off to regular classic players and those just playing it casually on the side. You'll lose players who just want to see what it's like but end up sticking with retail. And then I think you'll eventually lose people once all the phases are done and raids are cleared.

It's better to have fewer realms at the start and then add as needed especially since realms are going to turn into tight knit communities

Alch is good but super underwhelming while leveling. If youre thinking alch, my advice is go herb and skinning while leveling. Sell your skins, save your herbs on an alt

Theres args for all of them in pvp w ne having the weakest arg imo. Human wins rogue v rogue. Dwarf has stoneform which can work as a pseudo cloak to vanish and reset cleanly against hunters, rogues, warriors, and ferals (lol). Gnome gets escape artist to help against roots like mages

Ne gets a few free mod points. I think its equivalent to 2

You can also consider the classes' base stats which would put ne as the highest base agi

Long short is theres benefits to all for pvp. If you want to pve and pvp and care about minmaxing, just go human

Rogue will be easier if you give in and go daggers. Warriors have gear prio on swords/1 handers most of the time. Also warriors do steal leather. But, it won't be that hard to get geared as a rogue. Specially if you pvp enough so you can nab R10 gear. Even the blue set is in its... 1.10? Version, which is great.

Arms doesnt really exist outside of bgs (if my memory serves) but mortal strike is fuckin' strong in classic. I played both a fury warr and rogue back in vanilla on friends' accts. fury warr was a lot of fun but less geared than the rogue so that may have impacted my preference. But i enjoyed the rogue more

Also, thanks to nutcases on pservers, the "ideal" tanking build is actually fury dipping into prot.

Otherwise your dps pull off you at high end raiding

Yea. The delay in the honor system will lead to a lot of salt and people quitting (at least until honor system starts up). There havent been any clear timelines but people are estimating ~3 months per phase

I don't mind phases. Gonna keep game fresh. If they only catered to people who no life then that be kinda wrong, since it's such a small minority.

And most no life hardcore people I know will be leveling 1-2 alts once they get pre raid bis. So phases aren't really that big of a deal..there will always be something to do.

For me, I really enjoy the old school game design aspects. I think retail is a better game than classic, but I think classic is a far better of a foundation. I think if classic was expanded upon in a different way, it would easily beat retail in quality.

Many of the changes to WoW over its life span have made a lot of sense at the time, and individual are good ideas, but so many are piled onto the game now that its just a mess.

They weren't bad. It's a big misconception. Here's the deal. Swords are better for the content well have out the gates due to swords being better than the daggers available. But once tiers start going by daggers will start to improve and compete with swords. So then you'll start to see more rogues go dagger specs.

You just have to wait until gear allows daggers to compete with swords.
