As thing stand now Assassination is in a bad shape in comparison to Subtlety but this might be fixed. I remember assassination being crap in comparison to subtlety as well in first patch of BFA before the first raid was released but thing got overturned fast.

Blindside, MA, Vigor or MfD, Alacrity, PB or CT. The optional talent-tiers are pretty close in terms of performance.

Majors can be either Crucible or BotD, with CNS, Lucid and the other essence as minor depending on major choice. I'm simming secondaries right now and do a proper post to pin in a bit.

Azerite you can just run any combination of HoD, BBI, Clockwork together with DD or NP.

For m+ BotE major will most likely still be the best choice with EB, Iris has too high an opportunity cost to use there. So the m+ build hasnt really changed. BotE Major, CNS/Lucid/Crucible minor most likely, EB/SS/HoD azerite with 2210023 Talent build and Crit/Vers stat prio

Servers havent been up much before most peoples raid has started, so I wouldnt expect too many changes in the builds for today and probably the rest of the week.

And SS build still has the benefit of working well as a burst 2min build, and a lot of fight still rely on decent 2min burst CDs to make them a bit easier.

SS is generally not much behind the other traits according to herodamage sims, so I think if you dont have a lot of time before raid or dont wanna change the playstyle, youll be doing fine with the old build still. Might not be super optimal, but it'll be good.

Ambush is a bit awkward due to the fact that in your opener it might not be the best use due to a static CP generation compared to Mutilate, no traits for it and no longer playing Subterfuge if you dont play SS build. That leads to you not using it unless you run Blindside

Shiv isnt being used because it doesnt do any Damage and the benefit that works like the old Toxic Blade is locked behind a Rank2 version that we do not unlock until lv58.
