But as whispyr said, we don't really have breakpoints. The numbers are all pretty even. if you have 2000 points crit and 1000 haste.... you can likely do the same damage as 2000 points haste and 1000 points crit.

CLF sims better for me both in 3 min durations and 5 min.
Though I think the 'sweet spot' for Bote is any fight between 2-3 minutes.
When you can line it up with a second burst phase with your vendetta/vanish window.

As whisp said, killing the adds 7 seconds apart is important so the boss isn’t gaining extra energy stacks. As far as the tank seeds go, they’re not as important as they were a few months ago because of the insane damage that groups are doing without it. If your group can keep a smooth pace, you’ll find yourself without anything for melee to kill for a few seconds before the next wave comes up. 😛

Maws suck if you’re melee heavy. Tentacles suck if your healers aren’t aware of your location and there are multiple tentacles up and your raid is split. Keeping the raid group together as often as possible is pretty important. The only time ranged and melee should be on opposite sides of the room is when ranged peel off the boss to start killing their first eye/ maw and melee their first tentacle after hero/Ichor buff has fallen off.

I've done HM as outlaw and as bleed assa. I had better results as outlaw even with more incomplete build but it's because outlaw is brainless spec and really simple to take advantage in this fight with some straight forward aoe azeriths that I stacked besides best single target performance of this spec.
Also I've seen that Exorsus used only outlaws in that fight when they had good assassination rogues.
And I can use Iris as major that is kinda meh for bleed build on assassination.

There's a difference between lacking dps because people pad on adds instead of playing drone or ravanger properly, or lacking dps because they just don't play the class well generally and/or aren't overgeared. The only real gain with outlaw on this fight are stuns in your rotation, nobody really cares about the small adds
