Zap can literally proc off of any damage instance assuming its normal rppm

That doesnt matter overall tho.

Rppm only cares if you deal damage at least once a while

So hitting 50 enemies 50 times a second doesnt make it proc more than hitting an enemy once every second

What makes it do a lot of aoe dmg is the fact that the spell itself is a chain effect

So it forks to more than one target every time it occurs

As long as you are attempting a proc once every few seconds, you will not miss out on any or get any additional

More attempts past that only make the spread of the procs more even

The only real way of increasing procs is increasing your haste

Thats why raid build likes zap

But it’s still not very accurate

Multi-target and m+ simming is incredibly difficult to get right

And it’s basically impossible to get accurate results, especially across multiple affixes and dungeons

So I sim for aoe, because that’s where you’re gonna use most of your time

I also don’t push on tyran weeks, you can take a raid build into tyran weeks
