they each are pretty unique and different... and interesting.

Plus each is going to sim different per fight... one might be better at AOE fights, one might be better at movement based fights, one might be better at a patchwerk fight.

I like to think of covenants as a progression into a system that some RPGs have whereas your main class gets to pick a 2nd class to train and gain abilities from.

I think there is just a break point at certain levels of haste that means there are better options than lucid, but at r16 expedient, I’m only just seeing ~1% dps difference between void and lucid. @hybrid thunder

You’ve also got to consider if you’re running SS then 6 combo points +5% damage on finishers is better than 10% energy regen that isn’t required

I would look at getting lucid r3, and probably look to use raid bots to figure out which azerite traits you have access to are best for your level of gear. Also use droptimiser to help you figure out which mythic+ and which bosses to aim for in raids.

a single gw on 485 boots is a st raid dps gain for me but only in certain sim types, and not 5 min patchwerk generally (though the difference is negligible)

I don't think it's about optimizing what you have now @tacit warren as much as it is to run droptimiser and start running dungeons that can give you the best possible upgrades. Look for specific items that have the stats you want. And keep echos for when Exp 3 comes about again

Obviously keep using top gear everytime you get an item and see if its an upgrade

@onyx jewel all good, we just don't really do that content necessarily. Also i'm pretty sure there is no clear consensus, just purchase what you enjoy playing, but GW is great on 475 and 485 in pvp too 🙂
