think the consensus on muti vs fok, atleast when running 2-3DD, was that you dont fok until its 5+ targets, except to refresh deadly poison
theres really no easy answer to the question you asked, because it ultimately comes down to a matter of prio dmg vs aoe damage, not which one is better in every situation
i.e. when running a few EB traits, youd still muti over fok unless its like 8targets for priodmg
because that mut will still give more dmg on the target that matters, etc.
so all these thresholds/cutoffs based on crit/targetcount/trait-setup are entirely theoretical because live-gameplay just doesnt work like the sim does
its part of the assa toolkit, to always be able to swap between builders and finishers based on whether you currently need more st/priodmg or more aoe

For M+ I'm running bote major + breath, iris and conflict and strife. Is vision of perfection as a minor worth replacing iris with? Iris seemed quite good for bosses and high priority adds. Also I find m+ quite hard to sim and always just held bote for vend so wasnt sure if it was worth replacing.

It's not necessarily reliant on essences. 3x NP just makes your vendetta window hit harder, so on fights with bursts windows that line up with cds its good

i like np a lot, i get really annoyed playing proc stuff and then randomly having forced downtime where it procs
it's super hard to quantify how much you lose in those situations but if i have an np vs a proc within a decent margin i usually just take np cause fk it
