- have healthstone/healing pot at the ready if you dip suddenly because of a big envenom crit
- if you find that it is a problem, consider not using infinite stars.

some people report that with their raid teams they can go balls to the wall on mythic maut's shield without fear. other poeple report that every envenom is a terrifying experience. the whole point of this encounter is to shift some responsibility from the healers to the DPS, so you've got to determine how hard you can blast without destroying yourself and we can't necessarily tell you

Cloaking during MA seemed to be enough with crimson vial+ health pot/stone during vend. otherwise you don't really burst yourself down in my experience. But i don't have IS/EV corruption and my heal team is solid, so your mileage my vary.

Also keep in mind that nuking the boss as hard as possible during the shieldphase isnt actually adviseable since a lot of it drains by itself if the soakers and dispellers are doing their job, so overnuking the boss and cancelling his shield ~5 or even 10sec before it finishes doesnt really do anything for killing the boss.

except the 3 abilities ones work in situations where you cant get behind the target (think blackwater behemoth)

What is Detection spam? Well in the new age of corruption effects came the dominance of Echoing Void. This effect is known to be an alround great choice for any content. This effect procs off of your attacks and as we all know sin is known to be a spec full of "dead GCD's" that are spent waiting for energy, tactically pooling or also general boss fight downtimes because of abilities. In these scenarios you can now spam the spell Detection. It doesn't cost any energy and it fills these GCD's that were previously empty with a chance to proc EV. This is worthwhile learning but also think about not wasting any damage or actual GCD's that would overall be more impactful.
