I think Preach tends to be biased toward casual-scorn, which gives me some pause. But he definitely has visibility, which is good.

The issue isn't that new players can catch up quickly--that's overall a good thing. The issue is that they can arbitrarily end up with a high ilvl (which means nothing if it's not the right pieces!) and that makes veteran players mad. It's not really fair to them--doesn't reward their time invested/engagement metric.

Which goes back to what I've been saying since day 1 of legion:

1. The ilvl gaps between difficulties, and between tiers, is far too high. They should be severely crunched.
2. Nothing to should wf/tf above mythic baseline ilvl, and mythic items shouldn't have a high wf/tf potential.
