in lower keys mobs will die before the mines even trigger, and you wont be able to trigger them manually every time. on higher keys mobs usually get kited quite a bit, which means a lot of damage will be lost due to the mobs not being where the mines procced
either way, forgefiends isnt all too great even though it has mastery on it. youre better off just using trinkets that boost your stats as much as possible to boost your actual damage since we dont scale with damage-proc/on-use trinkets at all

since you need to be on range to use it, you can use it prepull, stealth, and step in to not lose any uptime while mantle-buff will provide 100% crit for the trinket use

they are probably the highest possible sim

for me personally shred bleed is way better
i sim 70k more with 6 ilvl less
